HORI Nintendo Switch HORIPAD Mini (Mario) Wired Controller Pad - Officially Licensed By Nintendo

We love this for our four year old. We play Minecraft as a family sometimes and it fits her hand perfectly. Would be nice if the power button worked to wake the switch but it’s fine.

I bought this for my 6 yo son who is a huge Mario fan. We play lots of video games together, but the larger controllers can be cumbersome for his small hands. I wanted a controller that he could use to play Switch and PC games. One issue I've had in the past is getting a Switch controller that works like an Xbox controller when hooked to a PC (it acts automatically as an xinput controller) is that the button labels don't match up (because Nintendo and MS have their buttons reversed). HORI did something clever with this pad though, regardless of where you plug it in, the button labels will match (plugged into a PC, 'A' will be 'A', even though it is the right face button and not the bottom like on an Xbox controller). This is good for kids or those not familiar with Xbox or Nintendo layouts since they can look at the controller and the button prompts on the screen will match up no matter if they are playing on an actual Switch or playing a PC game. Of course, this could be a bad thing for those who are familiar with the layouts and don't look at the controller, just knowing that 'A', for example, is the bottom face button on Xbox, but the right face button on Switch. But, for beginning gamers, this is great for avoiding confusion over which button to press all of the time (when they may be reversed), since you can just safely follow the button prompts with this controller.

***editing my previous review - the problem was a bug in the game I was playing. Not the controller. If you also have issues, I'd suggest trying another game before giving up on this one.The controller is a great size for small hands, unfortunately after a week of use half of the buttons on ours stopped working.

I really really love the design of the pro controller and got this controller mostly to show the kids. After using this controller though, I’ve learned that it not only looks pretty neat but it’s super comfortable to use. It’s almost like a more ergonomic SNES controller. Well worth the buy.

my kid really loved this design and took to it right away. he doesn't even ask to use dad's controller. has all the necessary buttons to play all the games we have - including minecraft which requires a number of different buttons to do everything

Cable is long enough, design is pretty cool and doesn't look like it will peel off, controller size is perfect for a 5yo hands (and good for a medium size women's hand), works great with the nintendo switch. Hopefully it will last long.

Já havia comprado esse controle na versão da Peach e pretendo comprar mais outras versões. Vou deixar a mesma review que deixei:Muito bom, confortável pra mão e tem tempo de resposta superior ao do Switch Pro. Uso muito pra jogar SSB Ultimate e Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Adorei o controle!Único problema é o Joystick, que parece ser mais alto que o necessário, precisando de maior esforço do polegar para que o personagem comece a executar o movimento desejado. De restante os botões são bem macios e confortáveis, o R-Stick tem a mesma sensação que o L-Stick, mas está numa posição que não é Tiltado acidentalmente. Os botões ZR/ZL e botões L/R são parecidos com uma versão mais confortável dos Bumpers dos controles do XOne/XSX.O controle em si não tem a função de Wake do Switch, então pra ligar é necessário apertar em um JoyCon ou no local PowerOn.
