Not as thick as you expect
These might serve in an emergency, but they are far from being what you would buy at an electrical supply. I haven't used any yet, just looking at them says no. The metal is about half as thick as normal. But they're in my "junk box" on houseboat for emergency.

Worked for me
Although they are a little thinner than its published specs, they are working just fine to me. I am using “8 awg” ferrule to splice connect some 6 awg construction wire by using an hydraulic crimper and shrink wrapped. I can’t rip them open. I also bought expensive ones, they have the same result in my opinion, I will buy a couple more.
