Works great bedside. Mounted both sides of headboard, and plugged into individual smart plugs, which are controlled with “Alexa”. These do not light the room, rather allows elderly parents to get the specific light they need - for example in middle of night, usually on the backlight setting - without having to twist and stretch to find switches. Also, being used to provide light on sunset schedule so room has sufficient soft light when they walk in for safety. The spotlight allows one to read while not disturbing the other sleeping. They were hesitant about the idea, but immediately loved them. The lights look good and seem good quality.

In response to other's negative reviews, all necessary parts were included and all four light positions (two reading, two night light) worked as designed; no failures, no strobing.The collapsing design allowed us to use the sconces in a Murphy bed where the mattress collapses to fit right next to these lights. Anchoring screws were not provided and the anchoring screws we used did not allow the anchor plate to fit flush so had to grind down the screw heads to fit. The mounting design led us to repeatedly drop the screws during installation.As reported by others, the brightness of the night lights is an issue because they are too bright (see photo). I am going to try applying contact paper to dim them.On the other hand, the reading lamps are fine and could have even been brighter.Too soon to measure heat issues or long term use.Overall we are pleased with how the sconces work and fit the decor.

from what i can tell the bulbs burn out, they can't be replaced, so plan wisely... we plan to replace these someday in the future but for now these are perfect in our basement...I can easily mount these on the ceiling rafters and plug them into any outlet for good spot effects. When they burn out, we'll address our needs then, The quality and look is perfect...If they had a dimmer they would be near perfect for our needs. Directions for hanging are easy to follow...did I mention that his artist likes a halfway decent quality look and feel without spending a fortune...they are even packaged well. Perfect for now!

These are bright and concentrated for reading, but the backloghting around the edges is soft and diffuse. Modern clean look. You can hard wire them ( with junction box) without needing a switched outlet, which looks best. Wires hanging down aren't as attractive, but not awful

Despite Amazon's description this does not fit or attach to a standard US Junction Box. Lights are fine, etc. but I do not want a cord hanging down and getting in the way. The statement IS vague, mentioning the easy installation and the "mounting plate for US Standard J-Box and includes all accessories." No J-Box adapter was included.

Really liked how easy n no hassle it was to mount the back light template onto wall then assemble light into this template.The plug-in cord could have been about 1.5 longer so had to buy 1.5 ft extension for wall plugin.Light really nice as night-light option plus the reading light really good, very happy overall would like to see a design that is horizontal as an option to portrait n I’d get another

These wall sconces are great. Fit decor perfectly, allow each of us a focused light or a brighter one. O e malfunctioned and the seller replaced it within 2 days of writing. Will buy from seller again.

A pair of these replaced some failing incandescent lamps I had mounted above my bed. Easy installation with just a screwdriver. Quality is fine. I like their smaller size and the warm light (3000K) emitted from both the base and the spotlight. The spotlight tilts and rotates and is easily directed to your reading material and away from your bedmate who may be trying to sleep. I mounted the base horizontally to use the existing mounting holes from the Ikea lamps. Be careful to measure how far you need to extend the cord to reach an electrical outlet; the supplied cord is much shorter than standard lamp cords. It is also thinner and stiffer than regular lamp cord; you may like to (as I will) install cable concealers to keep the cords straight for a neater appearance. These were on sale but I would have been happy with them even at their regular price.

A bit slow to install but works well.

These mounted wall lamps are bright, easy to maneuver, aesthetically pleasing and great for reading or for ambient light at night. 10/10 would recommend
