Although there is quite a few of these hot shoe type lights this does well with it versatility with a nice temp range although you need the remote to get the best usability out of it.The range from 7 to 70 lux is decent and it responds quite well.For those who want a finer control over the colour mixes then another model may br better but as a starter this is excellent value as I found at the lowest setting the battery live was higher than expected.

I bought two, but these don't last, they switch off randomly sometimes and even when they keep going, they die about an hour in at full power, also compared to the competition, they're not that bright.Disappointed

They are worth getting

way better than expected and does a multitude of different light patterns as well as standard whites, great stuff.

Good little all-round device

Considering how much thing costs, it's amazing. I use it as a backlight for my home office (which is really just a laptop stuck on top of a chest of draws in the corner of the bedroom). It even has a cool flashy-colour effect, so I can pretend I'm in a 70's disco whenever my boss calls me. The remote control adds even more flexability to what is already an extremely versatile bit of kit. 11 Out of 10. If I have one gripe, and it's a small one, I'd have preffered it if the battery was replaceable.
