Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 - Nintendo Wii

We've enjoyed this golfing simulation very much It is detailed and has plenty of character, options and charm for anyone interested to learn. I recently discovered the mini games as well and the mini-golf games are the most challenging of any putt-putt course I've seen, and that has been quite a few. The long games have all the challenges and layouts of the real thing. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes golfing, or to learn more about it.

I have the computer game... same one. I bought this one for the overall action of the controller. The computer game has more features... like specific practice play without being coached... and the option of automatically becoming a professional player with professional abilities when you create a golfer. This one, unless you pick a specific professional golfer, you have to start out as an amateur and work your way up without the choice of being a professional. If you pick just to "play golf," you are automatically thrown into a tournament. You do not get the same courses. Many of them are in the game, but you get other courses not on the computer version. One thing that is different is customizing a golf swing. I am not yet sure if this actually effects the game play or is just for video show. You buy different positive/negative reactions to shots which is different. The controller has a hard time picking up your actually physical golf swing. In "easy" you only need a chip/pitch swing for a full swing...(which makes it hard to control power) though you do have "harder" options. To generate a spin, the controller does not pick it up when you generate your swing. While the ball is in flight, you must pick a direction on the controllers arrow keys and shake the controller rapidly to make the ball spin. The touchiness of the controller can be quite frustrating. In the computer game... when starting a new golfer in career mode, you play with friends of a so-so caliber. On the Wii version you begin right in the amateur tour... so, get ready to be last place a lot. But the game is more challenging then a computer version. And it is fun. )...And it still has a more realistic graphic depiction of everything with out weeble characters.) I would recommend SKLZ golf stick which is a controller cradle with an actual partial golf club attached to it. The game becomes more realistic.

This video game "TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR 08" is extremely interesting especially in its Reality. The reaction of one's club swing or its ball-run, evrything is quite accurate.First of all, we must make a character for the play. We can make it from 8 year old to 80 year old, any male or female. It is easy and funny to make any characters.I made eight players. ( 4 players are saved into one memory card ). They are all very beautiful girls.One of them, she has got 86 Gold medals for the matches of the Tiger Challenge. In its games, Par-5-challenge at St. Andrews with John Daly is the most difficult to get the Gold. There are two holes only, so, the continuation of Eagle needs to get the Gold medal. She, and also, has got 78 season's trophies. That is: 61 cups for the PGA TOUR plays, plus the trophies for the Player of the Month, etc. Besides, 25 sponsors have been contracting with her. Another seven girls of mine, they have conquered the Tiger Challenge games. Five girls of them have got all Gold.Finally, this video game is very elaborately computerized for good or bad. It seems to me that the computer reads the psychic state of the players who at their situation when they are playing.Anyway, I am pleased with this game very much.

My husband and I have been playing for at least 4yrs now. Have not tried of it yet! Our first one is getting a few scratches so I got this one as a backup. LOVE LOVE it!

This was my first TW golf game. The training and confidence builders are excellent. They really do help you play a better game. I have only been playing this game about a week but I am loving every moment. The only oddity I found with this game is when selecting player profiles, the game is partial to African-Americans. Aside from not being able to select a blonde ponytail for my player, this game is great!

I bought this and tiger woods 09 as well... if you have 09 you DON'T need 08, waste of money, but it worked so thank you for that and have a super awesome day!

Unfortunately we live in Australia and the wrong system disk was ordered. It has to be returned!

If you love to golf this is challenging.
