Great introduction to a great game
Ah, the starter set. There's no feeling more exciting than sitting down with a single small box holding everything you need to set off on new fantastic adventures. Boxed sets have a kind of friendliness to them, like they're welcoming you into the fold, as opposed to the stodgy stiffness of a hardcover or the sleazy come-on of a softcover.Paizo tends to put together great packages for their starter sets, and the Starfinder Beginner Box is no exception. Here's a list of what you get:* The Hero's Handbook, the book you read first, which drops you right into the action with a brief solo adventure (think Choose Your Own Adventure) that teaches you the basic dice mechanics and how a roleplaying game might work. It then describes how to create a character by combining an ancestry (alien species), a theme (high concept), and a class (set of abilities).* The Game Master's Guide, which provides a short adventure to run players through that guides you along step by step. It then goes into more details on the game rules, including a few creatures and aliens for players to encounter.* Player aid cards to refer to during a game so players can remember their options on each turn.* Sample characters of several different classes in case you don't have time or don't want to create your own character.* Three sheets of Starfinder Pawns, with a bag of bases. Pawns are Paizo's replacement for miniatures; they're little cardboard standees that can be swapped in or out of pawn bases. There are pawns for for each of the included ancestry-class combinations, as well as an assortment of different aliens and some extras of commonly-encountered opponents (like Gang Toughs).* A folded battlemap to use with the Pawns. Paizo makes a lot of these; they usually show a generic location, like a section of a city or a starport, with full color art. They're made to take dry-erase markers and are used for resolving combat situations. This one has a generic tile floor on one side and a specific location from the adventure in the Game Master Guide on the other.* Two promos for Munchkin for some reason.* Two glossy pages of ads. This is a tried-and-true configuration, providing both a basic foundation in the rules for everyone at the table and an extra guide that walks the gamemaster through the first lessons of that extremely difficult trade.TL;DR: If you're interested in a space-fantasy RPG with a well-developed universe, a multitude of intelligent species, and plenty of overarching mysteries, give the Starfinder Beginner Box a try.

Por probar
Aún no pruebo el juego, pero llegó antes de lo esperado, en muy buen estado y tiene mejor apariencia que las cajas de inicio de DnD

Out of this world!
This sci-fi rpg offers many creative ideas that are quite different from the traditional high fantasy type classes, abilities and monsters!

Wow! I can't recommend this enough. What a great introduction to Starfinder. Being somewhat bored with high fantasy medieval rpg's this is the breath of fresh air my old and jaded brain has been begging for.
