Very clean and simple. Feels solid and well built

This is an attractive, sturdy valve trim kit (you need to buy the valve separately). There's a good range of motion on the level that allows you to control the temperature separately from the water pressure. Unfortunately, after my contractor installed it, I learned that the temperature controls are backwards - I have to push it to the left toward the red dot to get colder water and to the right toward the blue dot to get hotter water. It was probably installed incorrectly ... so just a heads up to tell your plumber or installer to make sure the water connections are done correctly.

I love this faucet. It's so nice to have the temperature control pre-set, so after you turn on your shower, it's always going to be the right temperature. It's stylish, it's well-made, and it's a good price. A little tricky to install, but I think that was more of a user error!

Overall, we are happy with this faucet for our new shower. The temperature control feature is nice and easy to use. I agree with others that it would be better if the quality of the material of the knob was more durable thus the four out of five stars for quality. Many have complained that the faucet stains from water drops. I had noticed the same even though I wipe it down after every shower, but now I put on a very light coat of oil (coconut oil in my case) when I clean the shower once a week, and it stays much cleaner even when I don't wipe it down. Would recommend.

The newer design of 17 series handles is poorly designed. The temp handle is wobbly and easily comes off. It is barely secured enough to not fall off on its own. Also, this has a 17T series cartridge, not the older 17 series. They are not interchangeable. Luckily I ended up having to replace the valve as well.
