Winter World

Cool premise, terrible writing
Bought this for the premise, which is right up my street. But maaan the writing is awful. Dan Brown levels of awful. Steer very clear if your tolerance for bad prose, cartoonishly crude characters, cringeworthy dialogue and amateur plotting is low. My eyes just about rolled out of my head every few pages.

An absolutely outstanding read.
Riddle sweeps the reader into a maelstrom with this epic; he leaves no chance for a breath as Winter World will become your reality. The characterisations are superb, you feel as if you've known them all your life. Their predicament, sorrows, joys, failures and triumphs ensnare you so that the book can not be put down. The plot is mind blowing and the humans' endeavour to survive means you will have to immediately read the rest of the Trilogy.

Waste of my life...
This is the worst book I have ever read.. from start to 90 pages in it is a dire attempt at the authors journey into story telling. It fails miserably and to be honest the remaining pages compound the aweful beginning.. I am deeply shocked that firstly this was written, then published.. and then.. another 2 books come along.. Jesus, what has the world come to where this trash even meets the light of day.. £7 far to costly but worse still I have lost valuable hours of my life.. avoid..
