BIC Atlantis Comfort Retractable Ball Pen, Medium Point (1.0mm), Blue, 12-Count

This is not a GEL pen. Gel pens smudge and are very messy to use, so I was very happy to find a pen that didn't do that. I was using parker pens for the past 50 years. After moving to the US I could not find good quality refills for the pens as most of the refills sold here seem to have dried out. So I looked for a different pen, and after trying literally dozens of inexpensive pens, I found these ones which are as smooth as writing with my old T-ball parker pen and the ink doesn't run or smudge. They don't last nearly as long as a parker (about one quarter the time per pen) , but compared to most other inexpensive pens they tend to last longer. Buying a pack of a dozen is very cost effective, as a parker refill costs $9 so I'm literally getting more value for my money. They have a rubber sleeve where you grip the pen, so are very comfortable to write with. Thoroughly recommend to anyone.

They're just the best pens there is.

A lot of people are hating on this pen for no reason all because of aesthetic changes that BIC made from the previous version. I love this pen a little more than the Papermate Profile series for multiple reasons. Same smooth writing with a finer tip. This not only preserves more ink (pen won’t run out as quickly) but also looks very pleasant on paper. It does have a bit of a break in period whereas the profile doesn’t really however it’s very minimal. So glad I purchased the bigger box instead of the packs. Will be purchasing more just in case BIC decides to discontinue this perticular series of pens.

We purchased these pens to be used on a daily basis at our office throughout the day. We love how smooth and comfortable the pens writes. The medium size is the perfect thickness for our paperwork.

These pens are find once you get them started. The issue is that they have this yellow gunk at the pen tip. It's probably there for a reason, but it is really hard to get them going. I had to pull the gunk off some of the pens using my teeth, because I simply couldn't pull it off with my hands. But once they get going, they're great. I'd probably buy them again because I have been getting them for years.

These are the only pens that I can use because of arthritis. And they write so smoothly! Thanks for a good product.

The smoothness of the ink and writing is great. This is one of my favorite pens to write with. People always comments how nice it writes when they borrow it for signing (and i have to make sure i get the pen back from them!!). Sometimes, there is a little glob of ink if when you first start writing something, but its not terrible.

There seems to be an older version that has a 1.0mm tip for half the price. I didn't want that old style. This has a 1.2mm tip and writes smooth and feels good in the hand, maybe not quite as good as the Inkjoy 700RT but its subjective. It is 12 pens or 1 dozen. in the box. The description says 18DZ/CT-I don't know what that is but it's wrong. You get 12 pens or 1 dozen in the box.

I actually love these pens for the writing style they are very comfortable and smooth to write with but it’s crazy how expensive they are and on top of it they only sent me 11 pens!!! I know it’s silly but I was shorted a pen after having to pay 20$ for a box of pens so I am not happy with them at all

I like how these pens write and feel but the ink runs out really fast so a pen will last me only a few weeks before it needs to be replaced. Very poor value for money.

I love them more than any other pen I've tried. Also excellent value for the price. Will purchase again for sure.

Too much ink, the pen is leaking, writing needs some time to dry, otherwise it will be messed up.

These pens are great. Don't make the mistake of ordering Velocity...go for the Atlantis
