Could potentially work as a refrigerator magnet.

I got these that came with the magnets, figuring the 2 vents I wanted to use them on were painted over the years with multiple coats of paint and the vent covert magnet sheets might not stick.I'm glad I did. One vent it would not stick on without the extra magnets.But they are not true "bar magnets"They are just pieces of metal with a square magnet in the middle - see photo.That's why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. I thought they came with bar magnets that are magnetic the whole length of the "bar" shown in item photos.But they did the job and I am very happy with them. I would buy them again as needed.

My bad - I neglected to do a review on this product back when I bought it several months ago. We have central AC/heat, and due to the limitations of the duct layout, the bedroom level (ground floor) is very cool due to constant shade, while the main living level tends to be 5-9 degrees warmer due to an abundance of windows and a southern exposure.In the summer when we run the AC, I have one covering the ground level vent - otherwise, it's way too chilly in the bedrooms. I take it off in winter, and the central heating keeps the bedroom comfortable.In the winter, I switch and use one on the main living level. My office is relatively small compared to the other rooms, which are an open-plan LR/DR/kitchen. I don't need the heat in my office; it stays warm enough naturally in the daytime to work in. But the other rooms are cold (higher ceilings = more volume to be heated), so covering the office room vent allows a bit more heat for these rooms.I tried a cheaper type of magnetic vent cover and didn't like it at all. The magnetic field on these covers is MUCH stronger; the bedroom vent is located in the ceiling and Zeetolo's cover holds firmly.Very satisfied with this product, and recommend it over cheaper imitations.

This was a game changer & money saver! Had a kitchen remodel done & the minute we needed to use the A/C, my kitchen floor & area became a freezer because theu installed the HVAC vent on the toe kick under the new cupboards! No vent closer! Saved money & time from shopping &installing new ones by cutting this magnetic strips to size & just putting them over the vents until we need heat again. Also save money by letting the cold air direct to the rest of the house instead where it is hot!

Researched products to block A/C flow from ceiling vents due to uneven air flow on top floor and bottom floor, even with vents closed. These vent covers sealed off the cold air coming from the closed ceiling vents downstairs allowing the upstairs vents to produce more cold air to balance out the desired temperatures between both floors.Quality product with strong magnets. Very easy to install. Desired results.Also can tell this is a family business as great care was taken in the packaging so the product arrived in excellent condition. Highly recommend this product from this company who seems to care about customer satisfaction.
