Great Starter Instrument
I've played classical guitar for many years and have wanted to take up the lute to perform the renaissance repertoire authentically. I received this lute a few days ago and my first impression of this lute is very good. The fit and finish are excellent and the tone is good. After a few days of playing, the tuning is starting to stabilize and the friction pegs are surprisingly easy to tune. The gig bag is well padded and well made. I'm hoping to move on to a custom instrument in a year or two, but this is excellent as a transition instrument.
