ハセガワ Hasegawa Seisakusho Co HMT15 1:72 Scale M4 A3E8 Sherman Model Kit

Bought out of a sense of nostalgia. The Hasegawa line of 1:72 military vehicles was a common item on my modeling desk as a teenager. When I saw that I could still get a few of them, I jumped at the opportunity. Knowing all the failings of a 30+ year old casting didn't matter. Still, a fun build, and with the knowledge of modeling I've gained over the many years since the first one I built, the result was much better than my 12-year-old self did—five stars for the memories.

The scale is exactly correct. GREAT little model. The figures need a lot of trimming/sanding to fit into the turret. Other than that, no complaints. I was able to build it in one day. I plan on buying more tanks from this brand!

This model is not 1/72 scale - it's too big. When I first opened the kit I thought the hull looked a little big and when I finished building it I confirmed that it's too large to be true 1/72 scale. A Sherman tank should not be bigger than a Tiger and a Panther! I also compared it to a Trumpeter 1/72 Sherman and the Hasegawa dwarfs it. It looked so out of place in my 1/72 scale collection of armor that I gave it way.
