I would recommend them
I meet electricians and people who are familiar with computer stuff that don't know about these things. They work well and get the internet to parts of your house that would be hard to get to. I like them.

Works - But doesn't live up to the claimed speeds
I live in a large apartment - and there is NO built in ethernet wiring. So while my den area has most of the computer equipment, the living room has it's fair share - TV, Apple TV, TiVo, XBox, etc. Using Wi-Fi can be intermittent so I wanted something "hard-wired".I've tried several products, the good news - this item works! Installation was a little less easy than depicted, but once I downloaded the corresponding app, and got things in the right place, it was smooth. Compared to the ActionTec COAX solution, and the Netgear Powerline solution the devolo Magic actually stays connected and seems to be consistent. However, it's not very fast - Using Speedtest App on Windows, through a Spectrum 400 Mbps connection - the best I can accomplish is 30-50 Mbps. (The apartment was built less than 4 years ago, so, I don't think it is the age of the wiring.)I'm going to keep this pair of adapters - it is consistent and doesn't seem to intermittently drop like the other solutions I mentioned. The iOS App makes it handy to check in on things and I'm satisfied overall. But if and when I see speeds in the 200 Mbps range, I'll update this review and bump stars up!

I bought 4 of these units to replace similar units I have from Netgear. I must admit I had high hopes for the units. When I first got them, it took a few tries to get everything working properly but once I did, they seemed to be fine. That was the first three weeks of using them. Since that time, they work sporadically. I know the issue is with the units because I can access my cable modem using other means and my internet speed is sufficiently high (around 200 mbps) to enable a positive experience. At this point, I believe the Netgear units operate better than these units. Not impressed at this point.....

Not as fast as the TP-Link AV2000 in my home
Tested against the TP-Link AV2000 which I have been running for the past three years, but wanted to see if the G.hn worked better in my house than the AV2000 spec.Unfortunately, it does performs about 50Mbps down versus 180Mbps down with the AV2000 from my downstairs to my upstairs. I used fast.com and speedtest.net as network speed testers on my home's 400Mbps down and 20Mbps up. Your house may vary obviously.
