Q: Will the Mini Chief smoker be able to smoke ribs safely without having to boil and/or cook them also? does it get hot enough for pork?

I've had my Mini Chief for a bout a year. Works great. It will heat up to about 250 if you put a cover over it. The box makes a nice cover. Check out the YouTube videos. Have smoked pork cutlets, salmon, bacon, bologna, chicken and a few other items. A brine solution is highly recommended. The book with the smoker has some good recipes. I purchased a thermometer at the hardware store and drilled a hole in the lid for the installation. $7 well spent to check on the heat. Also it helps to add some water during the smoking process if you are going to go for several hours. I have not pre-boiled anything. Just increase the time in the smoker to account for it.

Q: Will this work well for doing a brisket?

I returned mine. Maybe good for small stuff, but not a whole brisket. That is my opinion.

Q: Can you smoke pork butts?

Too small for a pork butt. I sent it back because of that. It was smaller pieces of meat that all the recipes showed.

Q: What is included in the package? Does it come with the chip pan, racks, bag of chips, and booklet as shown?

Yes, everything is included, all you need is the meat to get started.
