I bought this as a stop-gap while I am having a custom cable produced for my TH900X after the original cable stopped working.I had low expectations considering the price but this cable has impressed me. In particular the rubber cable isn't annoying to deal with.I'll be keeping these as my emergency spare for sure!

Firstly, it works which is a rarity amongst cheap replacement cables for luxury headphones, the connecters fit solidly and the stunning Fostex bass comes through very well.Worth every penny and then some...

Bought this to replace the stock cable on the TH610 as it was far too heavy and long and felt like it was always in the way.This is much more thin and lightweight and a massive improvement. And being able to choose the length you want is also helpful.Definitely recommended if you find the stock cable to bulky.

This cable does not stand up to the TH900s, although it has its positive sides.The good: The cable is relatively well-made, its surface is nicely smooth and the cable itself is very supple. It has a reduced microphonic effect compared to the original stock cable and it is short, which is useful if you are using the headphones in a desktop setup.The bad: it makes the music sound less enjoyable with the TH900s. I am not well-versed in describing sound changes in professional/audiophile terms, but I can assure you that with this cable you will hear how the quality of music reproduction takes a few steps down. It feels as if there is less presence and clarity and that the music becomes a bit muffled.Buy it only if you need a cheap short cable or want to have less microphonic effect compared to the stock cable AND are ready to accept a discernible reduction in sound quality.
