I used these on Thanksgiving to make mini pies and it couldn’t have gone better! I’ve also use these to make veggie pot pies and that worked well too.

They work fine as dishes to collect run off. My plastic orchid pots have slits in sides and holes in bottom to get rid of excess water. Like in nature, I give them a thorough watering and let them sit with water in the dish for 12-16 hours so they are fully moisturized. Empty out remaining water in pie pan and let them sit for 4-5 days till they dry out, just like in nature.Very inexpensive and practical method. Why spend $2 each for clay ones that will break if they fall ? They also become brittle over time, They fit 3-5.5" pots.

Not your standard use for tin pans, but these little gems work like a charm to keep the deer out of my fruit and vegetable garden! I string fishline around the garden perimeter and hang the foil pie pans every few feet. Their erratic tinny sound as they move in the breeze unnerves the deer, keeping them away. I’ve used this method repeatedly—works great!

I made small apple pies & froze them. For 2 people it's the right size, no waste. I will probably use them for other things, good for freezing.
