Heavy but I like it
First of all this wok is heavy. If you're using it on a range it should be okay. I was without gas for a time so I used this on a countertop induction heater. I just found it cumbersome as it was too high. It did the job though. It just wasn't an enjoyable experience.Would I buy it again. Certainly.

Finally a good enough Wok for daily use
We received the Wok, and immediately it felt different than the ones we currently have. Minor assembly is required with the handles. You have to screw in the Wok handle and the lid handle. A simple screwdriver is sufficient for this task.First initial impression is that this Wok is very well built. It is made of carbon steel and feels very slippery to the touch. As you can see in the picture, the surface area resembles the traditional hand hammering of traditional Woks with little dimples all over. They mention this feature on the description as 'fish scale design' that prevents food from sticking to it. We also like the handle design of the lid handle, instead of the typical round/button type. As shown on the item page, the handle doubles up as a stand, but we prefer flipping it completely over, and the handle keeps the lid propped up and fully supported. When my wife tried it, she was very impressed. So far, she has used this for stir-frying some chicken and green beans. The wok heats up very quickly and the heat seems to be evenly distributed. The next day she used it to deep fry. With the thickness of the walls, it seems to retain heat much better to keep using this as a deep fryer alternative. I finally got a chance to use it and made some Filipino noodles. We will keep using this Wok and find any more wonderful uses for it or not so wonderful and will update the review accordingly. Happy cooking, everyone!UPDATE - 02.19.2022:After using this wok for the last four months, the only thing that we noticed that might be a negative on this wok is the screw attached to the cover. Until recently we did not notice that the screw is rusting. I went to the hardware store and bought a stainless screw and replaced it.

Good for glass top stoves - bit cumbersome
I am a classic wok user, but I needed one for a ceramic top stove; the rounded bottom ones don’t work. I was excited to find this - flat bottom and not non-stick coated. There were absolutely no instructions included, so it took some correspondence to figure out that it was not Teflon/non-stick coated (which I wanted; the product description is confusing and conflicting), and that using non-metal utensils is preferred. It heats well, cleans easily and I think the lid handle/stand is quite clever. It’s a bit larger and heavier than I was expecting. Handling it and picking it up to empty & clean is a bit awkward. For the size & weight, a second handle would be helpful, although that would make it even larger… The lid fit seems to be good, but somehow steam escapes before the contents are really cooked well and up to full temperature. I suppose that will take some adjusting on my part; that doesn’t happen with the traditional wok/lid design. The spatula is pretty much useless. It pushes food around, but the edge is too thick to get under anything, so you can’t flip or sauté anything, which is important for wok cooking. I will have to find something more suitable.Overall, a very nice purchase for the money. Very good quality, but just some design details that are less than ideal for me.

This wok rocks my socks off...
Over the years I have owned many woks. Cheap ones purchased at discount stores, mediocre ones received as gifts, even one of those super fancy ones. They were either too thin, leading to uneven heating. Or reluctant to being properly seasoned, resulting in stuck on food and constant rusting. It turns out they all were weak woks. This may be the finest wok I've ever used. Its sleek design reminds me of one of those fancy Japanese knives. It comes with a modern looking glass lid and a handle that is riveted into the wok. Not just one screw that always needs tightening.Sturdy is the word that came to mind. The first time I used it I only barely seasoned it to test how it came from the factory. Slick and smooth. No sticking whatsoever. I was amazed. I remain amazed. Then came time for clean up.I sprayed it with the sink hose and wiped it off with a towel. What?Did i soak it? No way, Jose! Did I have to scrape any bits with the wooden spatula? Not even, Stephen! It just came clean. After drying it on the stove I put it away. No rust!I recommend this wok to anyone that cooks food.

Nice work for the price
Wok a good deal for the price. Easy to clean and durable. We have had it for a week and have used it every night since we got it. Lid handle is a bit wonky when using the handle as a support. Do not use metal utensils in this wok.

Very convenient wok
I really need such a wok, because the dishes I like to eat are difficult to make with a pan or a small frying pan. So I bought this wok. When I got it, I was amazed. The wok is very heavy, which means that it has enough materials (this may be a disadvantage of it, because it is very heavy and it will be difficult to hold it or lift it up with only one hand). After I received it and assembled it, I began to try it immediately. Finally, I found that this pot can be competent for a variety of cooking modes. I tried carrot stewed beef, pork fried cabbage, fried pork tenderloin, General Tso's chicken and French cream mushroom soup. The wooden shovel presented by this pot helped me a lot, and it didn't cause any damage to the wok. I tried stewing and frying, and it was completely successful in these jobs. If you need a large frying wok, you can consider starting with this one.
