I love everything about this shelving unit. I almost didn't buy it due to some bad reviews I read but I am so glad I did. I purchased it to go in my pantry and it is beautiful and perfect. Shipped on time with no damage. It is pretty easy to put together if you have 2 people. The instructions were crap but you really don't need them, it is self explanatory. I felt compelled to come leave a good review to offset some of the bad ones. I struggled to find a shelving unit that was 18" deep that wasn't just a plastic garage shelving unit and this fit the bill, matches my stainless steel appliances and looks very "chef-y" in my pantry.

The unit shelves and support poles appear to be sturdy - time will tell how the finish on the shelves and poles hold up. The attachment of the shelves to the poles also seems sturdy especially the bracket the bolts go through.When you open the box you'll see the shelves are held together with PVC pipe sections and attached to the shelves with the same bolting. My first thought was how do I get these off since the hex wrench is inside. Fear not, the nuts are just hand tightened.The instructions are just drawings - no wording. They are intuitive, however.Some hints on assembly: Just unscrew all the mounting bolts from the PVC pipes and lift out the shelves on at a time. Note, you get exactly the number of bolts and nuts required, there were a couple of extra washers. The hex wrench provided will work but it is not very big nor of very hard material. I used a T-handle hex wrench.First, I noted that the inside of the female end of the top pole was rough from being sawed. I used a rat tail file to smooth it all out. Then I added baby (talcum) power to the inside of the female end and to the male end of the other pole. It turned out this made it much easier for the two to come together.Assemble the base unit and tighten all the bolts/nuts. I added lock washers which are not provided.Assemble the top unit but ONLY HAND TIGHTEN. It helps to have the section a little loose to mount on the bottom section. Once you push (or tap down with a rubber mallet) the top into the bottom poles, tighten all the bolts/nuts.The leveling "feet" are easy to twist to the proper height.Hope this helps.

I don’t know if I received the item correctly. The shelves came all bundled together and bolted tight. I had to go find a tool to undo the initial bolts, and once I had that all done then found the hardware inside the shelves with the hex key that is meant for these bolts. But I had to undo the bolts to get to the key. Also there is sticky film on every shelf that has to be painstakingly peeled off.I don’t usually like to leave negative reviews but this is leaving me very frustrated because I really need these shelves and I’m upset at what I am left to deal with. The residue on the shelves is sticky and I’m gonna have to find a polish to get it off, as sending it back will be very difficult for me as well.

The first shelf I purchased I put it together by myself and I am a petite female and it took me little over 45min to an hour to put together. It goes way faster with 2 people. I purchased 2 more of the shelves and it didn’t take my husband and I long at all. Very Sturdy and the quality is very good. I have 3 of these shelves now.

Definitely not something you can put together with one person but we like the way it looks, very shiny and professional looking and has a lot of storage space. The shelves are NOT adjustable in my opinion but that doesn't really matter in our case.

I found it fairly easily to install by myself, but I could see this requiring two people in certain cases. Other than that, it’s just a simple storage shelf. What more is there to say? I’m happy with mine.

This was exactly what I needed. Took off a star because of the dented shelving. Packaging wasn’t great. One shelf arrived with two decent sized dents.

We needed more storage space in our kitchen, and we added these shelves for several reasons: plenty of space, sturdiness and quality. They match our stainless steel appliances as well. The shelves came in perfect condition, and assembly was easy. I would recommend these shelves for kitchen, garage or basement.
