The door itself looks great. The installation- let’s just say I’m glad I had someone more skilled than myself to cut/brace the hole. I did also get the wall install kit for this that you will need outside of the door itself (you won’t need it if you are just putting it through a door.) The magnet is always in place- it stops wind/rain from coming through but my youngest dog doesn’t push very hard so she won’t use it on her own- my oldest has no problem. I got this specific one for the price point and to keep the cat inside, turns out we don’t need to use the rf ID collars because she couldn’t push it open by herself if she tried- win win! Haven’t had the door long enough to talk about battery life just yet- had it two weeks. Will update with any issues.

The door works exactly as described. My dogs have learned to stop and listen for it to unlock and the go through the door. The downside is the my cat has also learned to listen for the door to unlock. Because it takes about 15 seconds for the door to lock after the dog passes through, the cat is able to get his claws in the door and open it before it locks again. I've had to keep the door locked until my cats personalized collar comes. Otherwise, the door was very easy to install. My son had it done in about an hour and a half. Maybe less. Considering buying an extra key for the cat.

Thought this electronic door would keep other animals out. I got the door and at the end of the instructions it said to try to operate door before installing it. Good thing I did because door didn’t work. Glad I didn’t cut hole in wall. Returned door. Got refund. Learned lesson Thanks
