Proraso Travel Sized Shaving Kit for Men | Pre-Shave Cream, Shaving Cream, After Shave Balm & Boar-Bristle Brush for All Skin Types

I picked this up to try as an alternative to a foam can. Didn't want to invest in a lot of products I might not like, but this gave me everything to try in one place. I got the brush wet, then added the shaving cream directly to the brush, and whisked it around on my face, adding a tiny bit of water every so often, and built up a GREAT lather - right on my face! (Youtube showed me how.) It felt much smoother and BETTER than canned foam! I'm never going back! I have since graduated into larger brushes, different types of tub/puck/tube creams, bowl lathering, face lathering, palm lathering, and tried a variety of aftershave balms, too. I ditched my mulit-blade cartridge razor for an old-school Gillette double-edge razor. Fun! This little Proraso kit was my entryway into a wide new world of "wet shaving." I now have several brushes and a wide array of shaving products on my shelf (both mass market and artisan), but this little Proraso kit is still relevant -- it's currently in my travel bag, ready for adventure! After I used up the cute little tube of shaving cream, I replaced it with Speick "stick" shaving cream for travel. I refill the aftershave container because it's the perfect size for travel. I got a half-dozen shaves out of the sample-size products, easy. Could have had more, but I was just starting out and didn't really know what I was doing back then. I've bought additional kits like this for friends and family, to introduce THEM to the world of "wet shaving," too! Quality products and a great way to try "wet shaving" without breaking the bank. HIGHLY recommended!

This was an awesome "sample size" wet shaving kit. Is it small? Yes. My wife thought the little containers and brush were "adorable." Is it effective? You bet! PERFECT size for my travel kit! It introduced me to Proraso products and convinced me to get the Proraso creams in tubs and tubes... thanks to this sample kit, I became a wet shaving fan! I got about three shaves out of the sample shaving cream tube, but probably could have had more shaves if I'd known what I was doing (I discovered that lathering in a bowl is pretty wasteful, but face-lathering uses a LOT less "product.") I've used up the sample sized cream, pre-shave, and balm, but I still use the mini-brush for travel (it's great for face lathering because it's small and relatively stiff, so it's VERY effective at whipping up a great lather on your face). The brush is small, so it dries pretty quickly, too (important if you need to pack up and go). It's a perfect addition to my travel shaving kit! After trying this out, I picked up additional kits just like it for my sons; they all love it, too!

I ordered this for the brush and my travel kit. The brush works great for that. The samples gone and used real fast. Like the soap though. Bought a real size container.

Those who complain about the size of this must be using an awful lot of it at a time. I would guess that there are at least 10 3 pass shaves here, maybe 20 even. That's about right for travel size IMO. It comes in a cardboard box that holds the brush, 3 liquids and is the right size to also hold a DE razor and 5 pack of blades.I use the brush as my regular shaving brush, some have described it as coarse, well, it's the only shaving brush I've ever had but I would describe it as soft, and would like it to be coarser.I'm very happy with the set. I would say that the box it comes in is a bit cheap looking for a gift, it's just a cardboard box, nothing fancy, you would never do anything with except recycle it or use it for an ashtray.

I wanted a travel tube of Shaving cream. I use the White Sensitive Skin Type so I was disappointed that I did not get that kind. As someone else mentioned it seems that what you get is random. I knew that I was over paying but consoled myself that I would be getting a small brush. I don't use brushes because they are large and clumsy. I apply my shaving cream with my fingers. That works for me. So, having the little brush was actually interesting and not so bad. I haven't used it a lot but I try it at least once a week. It maybe isn't "My Thing" but if you use a brush you might like this smaller size one. I did get to sample the after shave lotion. I don't care and haven't tried the pre shave stuff. I don't want to take 15minutes to shave in the morning. I have included the Lip Balm and full size Proraso for size comparison. 97% of customers like you will be very disappointed. I knowingly took that risk and was NOT Rewarded 🤨

I got this for my boyfriend for our anniversary and he loved it so much. He loves proraso a lot and these are perfect for a week long trip. These also seem perfect for someone who wants to give it a try but not ready to fully commit.

I can't blame Proraso for my ordering this product. Other reviewers warned that the quantities of the shaving components were minuscule. I also understand it must be difficult for company to make traveling versions of their products. Most people probably put beauty or shaving products in their checked baggage when traveling. And the proraso traveling kit would work for a weekend or maybe a week if stretched. I judge things for traveling by the TSA 100 mL rule. The "normal" Proraso pre-shave and after shave are supplied in 100 mL already so the only thing Proraso need to supply in this quantity or less is the shaving soap. The "normal" size tub is 150 mL. I did find a smaller tub on another large commonly used web site (hint). But if Proraso is listening why not offer a 1.7 oz tube like Bigelow? That is what I use for extended travel but I like the Proraso better. Maybe it is out there. I did see two different tubes on the Proraso web site but no information was given as to size. In summary the 1.7 oz tube would make the already available pre- and after shaves travel complete for carry on luggage travelers.
