Fantactic Rack and Styling (Have bought and installed over 8 so far)
I had bought the "Arkson" rack on about 14 of my builds, but was not happy with the price creep over the years of purchasing them. I was happy to find this rack offered with some improved styling. I tried my first one, applying RTV to seal the primary tube unions. Secondarily I use adhesive lined 1" OD 3:1 Polyeflin Heat Shrink Tubing over the assembled joints, shrink then poke holes at the fastener witness mark. This process has worked to mitigate most of the water intrusion and rust seepage on all of my racks. I have had fairly good results with this process for racks that have lasted 4 years now. This rack assembles without much of a fight. My only complaint is the "radwood" splash graphics which I remove with brake-clean and scotchbrite, then run the stripped side in. A few examples are on my IG #vwrescues, and just about every subarescue gets one of these racks.I recommend this rack sold directly from Amazon and sometimes offered with a clip-able coupon. And so far, in two years the price has remained fairly flat.

Easily assembled and Installed. Should hold up just fine.
Packaging was well done. The open ends had thick plastic caps on them to protect them during shipment. The center section went together with the front and back sections very easily and all the screws worked flawlessly. The 7 day road trip has not yet happened but I don't anticipate any issues. Used Summates Universal Roof Top Cargo Racks Cross Bars from Amazon to save a little money in place of factory cross bars although the factor bars would have lowered the whole basket about 1-1/2 to 2 inches. If I were planning to leave it attached I'd recommend sealing the seams and I'd probably blue Loctite the screws. The one thing I do not like is the wind deflector. It rattles due to vibrating against the frame. Remedied by a little door insulation on the ends under the plate. Also have flipped the plate to the plain black side since the pictures (just personal preference).

NICE...but needs help!
Ok so nice but needs help! What do I mean? This is a great roof basket...it has solid construction, easy to assemble, very light weight for its size, has a low profile look...all and all a great roof basket. Where I knock it is similarly where everyone else has had complaints. The powder coating is no better than a dusting, so understand that scratches have to be addressed. Next, every spot where the cross members are welded need to be sealed. It took me two days to completely seal this basket. I wanted to make sure it lasted so I sprayed flex seal in all the areas the powder coat did not cover and then I used the brush on flex seal to fill the holes the cross members rested on. If you do not seal this basket it will rust. So far and several rain storms later, I don't see any visible signs of rusting. Still looks as good as it did when I took it out the box. I bought the 64inch version for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Please disregard the light bar I was trying out mounting locations...I have since mounted it just below the wind fairing. Of course there is wind noise, not obnoxious but present. This is a good buy, and I noticed the price went up a little. Better get one while the getting is good. Oh, my box arrived alittle beat but the product was just fine.

Logo is only real problem with this unit but its fixable.
I have to say that for the money its a pretty nice unit. Other than one screw and nut it went together pretty easy. The instructions are adequate but you gotta sort of read ahead and think a bit. However... the logo is a problem. It's huge. Its hideous. Its tacky. It needs to be completely renamed AND redesigned. Something tasteful and clever and more "automotive" might be OK. But just turning it around doesn't really completely fix the problem. It can still be seen because it so large and so contrasting in colors. Painting over it is a decent fix. The paint of the logo is real thick so it will always have some variation of surface after painting over but its very livable then. Paint and turn around to the back. I used Rustoleum brand in Semi Gloss. Scuffed and wiped. Then two good coats. There is a variety of answers on this logo as to if it comes with it or not. The Seller said the new ones all had it. Like it was something people were requesting. In fact I think most of the potential buyers were cringing when they saw it. And asking in disbelief! I took a chance. I got one with the logo. And I suspect many more will now. Unless the seller takes this criticism and acts upon it. I beg of you... redesign and rethink this logo.In conclusion... of the price I think you get enough value to deal with the logo. But be prepared to do so. And or hope this changes or you get one of the old stock units that may or may not still exist. I gave the unit a fairly high rating in spite of the logo issue. The one bad screw also cost it a star. But the replacement screws I bought were superior and I changed out all five screws that mount the wind deflector so they would match. I used Nylock nuts. Paint and Screws/Nuts all cost me around 10 bucks.

Good looking and sturdy cargo basket
I ended up buying this cargo basket based on other reviews. Overall, I'm satisfied with it. Especially for the price. Plus I think the style looks good.AssemblyAssembling it was straight-forward. Slipping the different parts to fit together was a breeze. All the screw holes lined-up making the assembly process easy. It came with an allen wrench, but the size was a bit small for the screws. It kept slipping on me so I had to use one of my own (I don't remember the size).Additional workThe fairing did come with the "roof rack" graphic, but I spray painted over it. In addition, I added black silicone to some of the joints and gaps to prevent water from getting inside the tubing. I then spray painted the entire cargo basket with truck bed liner. I think it looks even cooler now.MountingMeasure and adjust the distance of the crossbars on your vehicle to that of the mounting pads on the basket before mounting it. The cargo basket is heavy, so propping the mounting pads on the crossbars will help so you can slide it across the top of the vehicle. The instructions show to install the u-bracket from the bottom-up, with the wing-nuts screwed-on from the top. However, doing so will limit what you can carry as the wing-nuts will be in the way. I installed the u-brackets from the top and screwed the wing-nuts from the bottom. This gives me a flatter surface on the basket to be able to carry boxes.ObservationsThe quality of the welds throughout the basket can be greatly improved. It seems to be mostly spot welded together. There are openings/gaps where the smaller tubing is inserted into the bigger tubing. I'm sure some water will get inside the tubing through there.
