I purchased these tethers to attach various items to while kayaking. Upon attaching a few things with these "lanyard tethers", they were put to the test, as I was involved in an accident and capsized in my sit-in kayak. Everything that they were attached to, remained with the kayak -- they did their job, which is all I really needed to know. I am happy with this product and the only reason that I gave them 4-Stars and not 5, is that I would like them to be a bit more substantial -- as I am tad concerned about their long-term durability. Overall, a good price on a good product that is a necessity if you are a kayaker.

The clips broke, we replaced them with more robust ones. They work great. My phone was attached and fell off the paddleboard into the water and the leash saved it.

I bought these to help keep hold of, and keep track of, things in my fishing kayak. This has been a terrible year for fishing and I barely got a chance to use them in the kayak. These are decent lanyards for the price. Just know they're not very strong. They're good as retainers for things like tools that have storage compartments (holsters, pockets, pouches, etc.) and you just don't want to lose them when you use (and drop) them. But you can't let anything "hang" on one while you walk around like you can with some other styles. They extend with only an ounce or two of pull, and the carabiners are also pretty flimsy. They're great for light use, but not going to stand up to any kind of abuse.

These are going to come in handy for my Devils River fishing trip coming up. I will be using these to tether all my loose gear just in case those rapids tip me over. (I sure hope not) The elastic cable seems to be a pretty inexpensive material and my only worry is that over a short period of time they will become weak and brittle. Again, just my thought, not yet proven. Overall, I would say they seem to be worth the small amount I paid. They will be put to the test in mid October

Got product quickly, looked the same as the post on Amazon, but I found them a little too short for my intended use-a tether for the kill switch for my boat. So I bought the product advertised as a boat kill switch lanyard, and will use these for what they were designed for: to keep fishing gear from going to the bottom.

These are super useful for more than just fishing rods! Use them to keep your phone/camera or whatever. I attached one to my go pro selfie stick.

I wanted these for strapping things on the back of my kayak, but they are not really strong enough for that. They are not too bad for what they are actually intended for according to the posting, keeping plyers secured to a tackle box.For the price they are alright, but you probably find something similar at a dollar store.

They got here alot quicker than the estimated date or arrival. Work great.
