Cooper: A Friends To Lovers Romance (The New York Players Book 2)

Hell yeah !!
Holy Mary Mother of God what have I just read?? Cooper effing Marks is a god among men and I am here for it. The man is pure sex, and he will have you needing a cold shower more than once while reading thisBook.Firstly if you don’t already know her can I please introduce you to Lulu Moore the author of one of the best romance series I’ve had the pleasure if reading.Secondly let me tell you about this book. Now a few days ago I read the first in Moore’s New York Players series entitled Jasper. It was good. Sweet and cute romance that was a slow burn. I fell hard for all the characters, and having such a good feeling that this was a group of friends I was already gonna love hanging out without. Note I was not wrong. Now as much as Jasper was sweet and cute and Wolfie and was a fun heroine. I just didn’t love him. But I still wanted to read more about the Players. So I bought Cooper and let’s just say I was not disappointed.Cooper is swoon-tastic. He is brooding, jealous and strong willed. And let’s just say I looove his bossy side (insert cold shower here) And what he does for Freddie in the ending to win her heart. BE STILL MY BEATING HEART. Sigh - I’d be putty in his hands. And so is Freddie, but we need to talk more about Freddie. She is so fiery and has so much sass she id my hero. She doesn’t let anyone walk over her but she had a vulnerable side. Like I said she’s perfect. Now, if you’ve read the first book you’ll know something was simmering between the two of them. But this one, if the first book was simmering then this is full on boiling over!! The steam is strong with this one my friends. For example Chapters 8 and 13 …. were some of the best sex scenes I’ve read! Ever!!I wouldn’t mind Cooper’s shoes under my bed on any given day let me tell you!My favourite part was seeing the different sides of Cooper with Freddie, especially the storm. And Felix and Drew trying to help Cooper in his hour of need was just typical of them wasn’t it… especially Felix. It was bound to go wrong. There’s not one character I dislike, everyone is so rounded as characters, with their own stories I want to read. So on that note I’m going to buy the next one which is Drew and already I know he’s going to be so dreamy! What I love about Moore’s writing is the believability. She writes a good romance with a splash of drama but it’s believable drama. It’s not out there that you have to suspend belief. There’s a good dollop of humour too, and her female characters… all strong. You won’t find any wet lettuces who make dumb decisions here. Also the story of Jasper and Wolfie continued on this book which is what I want in my romance series. I really want it. And there’s a scattering of breadcrumbs for the other characters stories too!And let me finish with the epilogue. Perfect. That’s how you do an epilogue.

Book 2 of series !
I loved the continuation of the story of book 1 but now we have a new couple as the main pov, but really appreciate that we didn’t just forget about Jasper & wolfies story.Unlike book 1 slow burn these 2 characters are way too hot headed to hold it off for long. She’s used to being the boss , but will allow him to take control! He’s possessive and want no one else near her but is too scared to admit his true feelingsFull of tension , heat 🥵🔥 and fun with the side charactersFriends to loversHockey playersSassy fmcPossessive mmcA good second book to the series, my only complaint is the ending felt a bit too similar to book 1 but I could look past it and still enjoy the book 😊

Feel good HEA
I have enjoyed the books in this series so far, the characters are very likeable and they have a feel good HEA ending. Not a complicated storyline, however I read these books quickly, appreciated the epilogue as well as the continued storyline for the characters from the previous book. Not a 5* from me but I don’t give them out unless I have lost my life to a book ( often neglecting my family 😂) I will however be reading the next in the series. A great series to unwind to.

A perfect hockey, friends to lovers romance
Second book in the series and I’m loving it!Being back with the characters in this series guarantees plenty of fun. The music dotted throughout is brilliant. Cooper and Freddie and their attraction ensures plenty of spice. Cooper is a possessive, dirty talker that also manages to tap into his romantic side.A perfect hockey, friends to lovers romance ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This friend group is A+ Cooper & Freddie *swoon
This is book 2 in The New York Player’s Series. A character series in which everyone is still in each book. I love series like these. Getting to see characters you fall in love with continuing their love stories and personal connections all the while supporting the main characters is very satisfying. Lulu does an amazing job tying all of the story lines together.Cooper is a professional hockey player. He plays with The New York Rangers alongside Jasper (book 1). Freddie is Wolfie’s (Jasper’s wife) sister. She is an interior designer living in London. The majority of the book surrounds the week prior to Jasper and Wolfie’s wedding.Cooper and Freddie become even closer than they were in the months leading up to the wedding. Very steamy closeness!!!The story progresses so beautifully and is so fitting for who Cooper and Freddie are as a couple and as people. I love their crazy love story. Parts at the end almost had a tear spill from me which is a HARD feat! I’m a card carrying member on the 🖤 club 😆.If you love love with a side of a painful conflict and always ends with a HEA - READ THIS BOOK! No, I’m not kidding seriously read it! 💋

This book is quite refreshing. Great strong characters, lots of humour, quick banter. I love how the story flows and all the characters make this book one that I couldn’t put down.

You will love this series!!
The moment I finished Jasper I knew I had to read Cooper. The story of Cooper and Freddie, their chemistry was off the charts from the get go. We were first introduced to the chemistry and banter between Cooper and Freddie I was so excited they got their own book, and not only that we still got to hear about Jasper and Wolfie and all of their friends as it picks up straight where Jasper and Wolfie’s book finished. You will easily become obsessed with this series. If you have read and loved the Briar U and Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy you will devour this series!

Tension Galore
I really enjoyed reading Cooper after getting through Jasper. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the writing as Jasper had spelling in grammatical errors and didn’t slow very well. I was extremely happy to see that a lot of that was cleared up in Cooper’s book. After getting a quick glimpse of Cooper and Freddie together previously, it was no surprise that their book progressed much faster than Jasper’s book. Lots of banter, tension, and spicy scenes. Who knew Cooper have a dominant side? All in all, a good book. The only thing I don’t love is that Lulu is writing about American/Canadian hockey players, but writing them with British speech.

spicy friends to lovers
I think I’m torn between 3.5 stars and 4 stars. So maybe a 3.75 stars for this spicy friends to lovers romance.Freddie and cooper have been friends for almost a year, but they live in on different countries. But when it’s time for their best friends to get married, they’re forced to work together to help the wedding go off with a hitch. The forced proximity shows them the chemistry they have isn’t in their imagination and they have an explosive week that leaves them wondering if it could be more. The banter between Freddie and Cooper was so fun. They knew how to push each others buttons while also being able to comfort the other when needed. I love the group friend relationships and dynamics in these books!I think my big struggle with this book was coopers actions during the third act breakup. And some of his friends encouraging those actions. He just didn’t think through what he was doing. His grand gesture though was sweet!Tropes:Professional hockey romanceFriends to loversJealous/possessive MMCFeisty FMCHe cooks for herMusic is their love language
