Thorogood Men's 6″ Thoro-Flex with Translucent Bottom Boot

Pretty good boot for the price. They do run big - I'm a pretty standard size 9 and the 8's fit me very well. I bit of play in the heel, but I took care of this with heel pads. Leather is not smooth but more of a suede finish. So, you can't polish them, but who polishes boots anyway? Only issue is the leather of the toes is already worn smooth from just daily use. I expect it will do the same along the line where the pants hit the front of the boot. But I didn't buy this for fashion, so I'll live with that.

These Thorogood chelsea’s/slip-ons are good for the price, amongst the better non-dress/general use everyday chelsea I’ve tried around 100, (I’ve tried a lot in the 100-200 price range). I have wide feet and the wides fit great although I did have to go down a ½ size from my usual shoe size, nice roomy toe box without looking like clown shoe/boot. The boots are pretty comfy and break in fast out of the box, I did end up replacing the insole to something that provides better support. The sole is wearing fast, I can tell these won’t last beyond a year but you get what you pay for, these are not hard use shoes however they make up for that in comfort. They stay cool, good traction on hard surfaces, won’t mark up floors, haven’t had any slippage in the rain yet, they seem fairly water resistant but I treated them anyway. Fine for light yard cleanup, going for a walk or light hike when it’s dry, not the best lug pattern for mud or wet fields. Great around town, working in the garage shoe but would recommend the safety toe version if you want to use this as a work shoe.I do like these more than my last few pairs of Blundstones, BL quality has gone way downhill for the price, these are a better value in my opinion. If you need a harder use chelsea style boot you’ll have to up your budget and get Redbacks, if you’re not set on a Chelsea style Thorogood’s US made stuff is great, (don’t think they offer a US made Chelsea at this time but they should because tons of us would buy it HINT HINT!!).Hope this is helpful.

It's sad to see a great American brand devalue its reputation like this. Basically, Thorogood is making knockoffs of its own products in China and stamping it with their name, but it's not a real OG Thorogood (as in the high-quality US-made ones, which now retail for over two hundred bucks). That said, these boots are OK for the price, as long as you pay under a hundred for them. sizing is similar to the US made models - they run larger than most Chinese shoes. I wear a 15W in most Chinese-made shoes, but 14W in US-made ones. The insole is a bit thin and poorly cushioned, but can be easily replaced. So while the quality of leather and construction is not what you'd expect of a Thorogood, it's good enough for an inexpensive slip-on.

Shoes seem fine. Good quality and fast shipping. They were just too large. Normally wear a 14. Based on this pair a 12 might have been good. Needed to return

My bf loves these. He has them in the steel toed version and these without a steel toe.
