Ruffwear, Lumenglow High-Vis Dog Jacket, High-Visibility Protection for Day and Night, Blaze Orange, Medium

Love this product and I honestly don’t have any issues with this jacket. This is the second item I have purchased from Ruffwear for my dog and I think I may have found the holy grail of outdoor wear for my Kelpie! Joking aside, the quality is amazing and you pay for what you get.I purchased this for my pup because she needed something more substantial to wear in the woods during hunting season. For reference, I have a female Kelpie that weighs 45 lbs. She has a slightly broad chest and is a muscular/athletic build.I will add I got this for the bright Hi-Vis neon orange & yellow material so she can be seen from far away. (She has a blue/tan coloring and blends in with her surroundings in the woods.) I don’t know if this would be good as a hunting-dog jacket but for hikes/trails in the woods of Maine or low-light walks, it fits the bill. The jacket has reflective strips of material on both sides and like most Ruffwear dog items has a loop for a light on the back collar of the jacket. The collar extends upward to provide added protection and the underbelly area has buckles on each side that clip into the jacket sides that are adjustable. I feel like the design of this was well-thought out because it’s adjustable so you can layer underneath the jacket. Right now I’m using a Ruffwear Climate Changer Fleece underneath to make it a bit cozier for my dog but the jacket overall is pretty lightweight so I will be able to use it in warmer weather too. The sizing is on point! I ordered a size Small.

This is a fantastic item for your dog! It fits great and keeps the dog dry. Especially like the opening on the back for the harness to attach.

Bought this in size S to replace an older Ruffwear Track Jacket (XXS-XS) which has been discontinued and which our pup outgrew. This style provides more coverage - along the length as well as the across the chest - so not only is our pup easier to spot, but he's also better protected from brambles and such. It's definitely much louder visually than the solid orange of the Track Jacket.

This is the second coat I've gotten. This one is for new new dog. I am very happy with the coat I got for my other dog, which is why I bought it again. I bought the same colors -- they'll look cute walking together!

Great product, but not sure why they didn't put a loop for a leash. They have a spot for a flashlight, but not a leash?! Their other harnesses have a spot to hook up a leash. Strange. It's better for the dog to not clip the leash to the collar. And, with the reflective harness, it's hard to actually get to the collar. Maybe this was a defect in the one I received & other's have the loop? Otherwise, a great product.

We got the Ruffwear Lumberg High-Visibility Dog Jacket in blaze orange to use as a safety vest for our dog to wear while with us on railroad motor car (speeder) excursions. The first time he wore it was a rainy day, and it helped keep him dry too. The large size fit our chocolate lab very well. It was easy to put on him and he was totally ok with wearing it.

You cannot miss my dogs when hiking. The vests stay put really really well. Mine race through brush, water, jump logs, steeeeeep hills. Vest is secure when they come back, no shifting. It also keeps those little burrs off. If You want to nit pick - and I believe this helps keep it place so no biggy, it takes a minute to fasten, but only because they are covered by material in a kind of pocket, the adjustable clips are also hard to slide. All that means is it’s much harder for them to become undone or too loose. Wonderful visibility

This jacket is perfect for Seattle weather. Not only does it keep my dog dry it also keeps him clean because of the way it fits. My dog has freedom of movement as well. My male pup is 16 months old and lean at 64 lbs. Had to send the medium back, the large fits perfect! We went through 2 other brands of jackets that both fell apart or broke in some way within a short period of time. This jacket is durable. When it gets dirty it washes up well. I’ve even used a scrub brush on it when the dirt dried on once. We both think this jacket is a winner!!!

Le gilet est facile à mettre au chien et ne bouge pas une fois que ma chienne l’a sur son dos!Il est top la nuit, les bandes réfléchissantes fonctionnent très bien. Nous l’avons utilisé à la montagne lors de la balade du soir , je le recommande !

Just the right amount of reflective stripe so I can see my dog (and so can any cars or other passers by) without dazzling myself if using a torch - we have another jacket that is 100% reflective but that means you lose your night vision when using a torch. The medium size fits my slim Labrador perfectly (she is about 70cm round her torso and 55cm ish back length) even when she has an additional warm layer on underneath. Also discreet in colour when you don’t want to have orange or yellow high viz colours. Really good clips to do up the jacket and the chest coverage helps keep her clean. Perfect jacket!

Great for the darker mornings to be seen for morning walkies

Herr Hund brauchte nach 10 Jahren in Deutschland und mit zunehmendem Alter ein neues Outfit für nicht so tolles Wetter. Ich habe lange gesucht, viele Mäntel verglichen, einen zurückgeschickt - und dann wurde es der hier. Ich mag ohnehin die Sachen von Ruffwear, weil das gute und durchdachte Qualität ist und die wirklich lange halten.Eigentlich hätte ich gerne die Version mit eingearbeitetem Geschirr gehabt, weil Regendecken und Geschirre eher unkompatibel sind. Aber das war nicht in der passenden Größe da und 50 Euro mehr. Umso größer die Freude, dass diese Regendecke tatsächlich eine Öffnung hat, um die Leine in ein Geschirr zu haken! Absolut perfekt und auch ziemlich regendicht gearbeitet. Herr Hund fand es völlig okay, die Decke zu tragen und hat sichtlich gemerkt, dass der Winterregen nicht mehr bis auf die Haut geht und der Wind auch gut abgehalten wird.Das Geschirr von Herrn Hund hat seinen Leinenring direkt hinter dem Bauchgurt, bei einem klassischen Norweger-Geschirr könnte es etwas problematischer werden, weil die Schlaufe ggf. dann doch etwas länger ist. Da muss man dann eben ausprobieren, ob das passt (unser Norweger ist aber eh eine Maßanfertigung mit extra langer Schlaufe, das habe ich mit der Decke gar nicht erst ausprobiert).Was noch wirklich gut ist, sind die sehr, sehr breiten Reflektorflächen. Die üblichen Decken haben nur schmale Paspelstreifen, die ein kleines bisschen leuchten. Im Dunkeln sieht man als Autofahrer diese Fizzeldinger einfach kaum. Das ist mit den breiten Streifen und der auffälligen Deckenfarbe hier total anders. Klar, es ist gewöhnungsbedürftig aber man sieht einen Hund im Freilauf schon von weitem, was auch unterwegs in Feld, Wald und Wiese wirklich praktisch ist, gerade wenn man einen Hund in "Tarnfarben" hat, der vielleicht abhaut.
