great product
The only thing wrong with this product is that I should have bought it 10 years ago. I've been fighting and wrangling with a 50' rubber hose all these years that was constantly causing me to roll it up into a coil by hand. It works great and no messy hose on the floor of my wood shop.Keep in mind, however, the hose very good but is not high quality rubber and if you plan on using it in a metal working shop or automotive garage, you should probably opt for a reel with a heavier hose. For the average home or wood shop this product is terrific. Hook it up to your compressor, mount it, and you're done. I love it!

Good quality and price point for home shops
I've actually purchased 2 of these for use in my shop and I'm very happy with purchase. I previously used a Craftsman model, but the hose was hard rubber and got stiff in cold weather and the retracter did not work well. This model is less expensive than the Craftsman model. These have a hose that stays pliable in the cold and the rtraction mechanism still works well. Also, the 50' hose is longer than other models I used.

Good product
Cheaper than the Harbor Freight (which looks to be made by the same people) and does the job well. No issues** slight** leak after a few months. Took it apart, teflon taped the fittings, good to go.Still very happy

Not that great
Realizing it is a cheap product for what it is, I decided to take my chances on it due to the CH name and was significantly disappointed. The hose itself just feels flimsy, doesn't feel like it will last very long. Even compared to my $12 hose from harbor freight (that Ive had for years, and is discolored from the sun, but still feels far more durable). Perhaps that could be over come because its supposed to stay housed and safe in its reel, except one major flaw, it doesn't retract! The clicks are there, you can pull out, pull again to "stop" it, but when you pull it back to retract, you basically have to feed it and practically shove it back into the reel. Felt like there should be just a bit more tension to the spring (or whatever mechanism is inside that is supposed to cause the hose to retract).Ultimately, I will probably end up buying something else.

Works great if you don't expect too much.
I've had my unit for 5 years, mounted on the exterior of my house with 50% direct light and in temperatures from -15 to 105F. We use it maybe three times a week to inflate a tire, children's ball, bicycle tire or to spray dust out of something. It stays pressurized 24/7/365. It's never leaked or given me any problems. The retraction part is a bit finicky and sometimes hard to make extended. I just finished repiping my supply line and used an ultrasonic leak detector to check my work and found a tiny leak at the swivel join on the inside of the reel. To small of a leak to blow bubbles so its manageable for now.Based on the other reviews I must have gotten lucky on the build quality. Just be gentle I suppose

Great for DIY Projects
I got this package today. Packed vary well. Hooked everything up. NOTE; Use good teflon tapeon all your fittings. You'll need to pick up the 1/4" female connector and quick change coupling . I used the25' Campbell Hausfeld air hose to supply it from my compressor. I pressure tested both the hose, and Hose Reel before running the supply line and hanging the reel. Both sealed really well. The reel fits my needs to a tee. I have a 10x20 woodworking shop, so I hung the reel half way on a cieling joyce. It pulls out easy and retracts very well. It drives my finish nailer, and air stapler with ease. It was so easy to install, by removing the bracket as stated in the directions, and install it first with the 3 lag bolts. Simply set the reel in the bracketput the two bolts back in the reel, and hook up the supply. Hope this helps anyone who is thinking about it. Buy it and you'll see for yourself. I agree it's not a couple hundred dollar unit, but it sure fits my needs.

Great for the money
When I started looking at these retractable air hoses I was surprised by how much they cost. I found this one and thought I might as well try it, if it didn't work I could return it. I am very impressed, it is a piece of cake to mount with the included screws and the hose pulls out and retracts very well. The case is high quality. I just have a small home shop and won't be putting too much strain on it but for the price it's perfect for me. The only thing I could fault it for is the process of winding the hose in, if you don't feed the hose in from side to side it can jam up but it's pretty easy to get it to feed back in correctly. I am very impressed with this unit and recommend it to others.

Got 3 years out of it
I work in a shop and been using this for 3 years. Pretty sure it was $65 when I bought it. Definitely worth $65 and got a whole lot of use out of it. But it came loose inside or something. I took it apart and found the leak but have no way of stopping it. I guess a fitting just wore out. Unfortunately this thing is not built for maintenance. Putting it back together is actually very simple but it doesn't go back together well. Screws strip the very soft plastic before you ever feel resistance. It pulls itself back apart. And the part where it holds screws to swivel on the bracket want to pull out now. It's kind of mind boggling how it stayed together in the first place. Not worth the new price tag.

Excelente equilibrio calidad-precio

Excellent purchase price
This was purchased for a gift and my spouse was quite pleased. He installed it easily and has had absolutely no issues with it. It keeps his hoses accessible and off the floor in his garage, light weight and great value for the purchase price.

A shop essential
I see slot of makers on YouTube with ceiling mounted air so I went shopping...this is one of thee best additions to my shop. I hung it in the ceiling just above the end of my assembly bench and man it makes using air a whole lot better than dragging a hose across the shop. Note: the hose end did not arrive with a fitting so make sure you get the right fitting to match your tools.
