Good basic workhorse
This is a well-built fleshing knife that fits my hands and fits my needs. I live in an apartment and have no options outside of my kitchen and bathroom, whether fleshing a deer hide or a squirrel! So everything I use to work on hides has to fit within my workspace, no real elbow room. This isn't a small knife, works just great on a large doe hide; AND it fits my need to work in compact conditions. (Unlike a 12" knife.)The knife blade is not what newbies expect: it's not meant to be a cutting blade. What it is is precise and strong, with the right bevel-angle to transfer the force of pushing into the task of separating the membrane from the hide. The handles are the durable sort that never give out, and also don't allow liquids to get underneath to trap germs or cause damage to the blade/tangs over time.Glad I bought this knife, looking forward to using it on a young buck. Sigh ... back into the bathtub I go!

AWESOME!
First time ever fleshing, and this tool works great. If you know what you are fleshing, and how to use the tool properly for each hide, it works wonders!! First time flesher here, and I had a few hang ups, but found out with a bit of online investigation that I was using the tool improperly for the hide I was fleshing. As soon as I found out what to do, everything went well. I have done two different hides, one a deer, sharp side on hide, one a coyote, which proved to be a bit more challenging, but used the sharp side BACKWARDS, and all the trouble and fuss was done and the job was awesome. Great built tool. Thank you!

Worth The Money
Got here in 3 days. As soon as I reached for it I cut myself before it was even out of the box! So yes it is very sharp and will get the job done! 8 inches is plenty big.

鹿の皮に使った
切れ味良いので、気をつけないと穴が開くたぶん小動物用で大型には向かないナイフだが、女性の私にとっては逆に使いやすかった。何頭もやるなら、大きいものを購入すべき。あと冬に購入したら、倍の金額だったので、7000円のうちに買うべし。
