Worked Good Until...
Great range on remote (uses 2 coin cell).I use it with a snatch block to pull down trees-4500x2=9000lbs.Nice tight little winch.What you don't want to do is drill the steel cable hole out slightly to accommodate synthetic line.I only enlarged the hole 1/64". I made MANY more pulls after this. Until I put the greatest strain I had up to this point. The spool cracked (previous reviews speak of this).NOTE: Don't push this thing to the point where it's not moving at all. It will break after a few of these.

The winch and the remote control worked fine. But, I replaced the wire cable with a rope...
I use the winch to roll logs up onto my trailer, over the side rails. I use two ramps beside the trailer, and a snatch block. The only problem I had was that the metal cable wouldn't roll into the winch housing tight enough, when I winched in a log. It would be such a large diameter that it would fill up the cable housing. Then, it would be stuck. Only by jerking on the cable extremely hard repeatedly, with your entire body weight, would free up the cable. SO, I swapped the cable for a 50 ft. rope, that was made for winches. Problem solved... The cable was just too stiff. I plan on buying this model of winch again, but with a rope next time...

Specs are wrong, doesn't match manual
Seriously, this is the second winch from 2 different brands where the advertising on Amazon does not match the manual. Description claims 1.9hp and 198:1 gear ratio. MANUAL SAYS 1.4hp and 136:1 gear ratio! so this one is getting sent back.

Decent winch; but it’s not pulling 3500lbs, period!
It’s ok, but it’s not a 3500lb winch; more like 1500-2000lbs, tops. For the money, it’s a decent buy, but I wouldn’t buy it again. The wireless remote is good for a paperweight, but that’s about it. I’m ordering a different one, for three times as much, to put on the front of new Ram 1500 Built to Serve, Bighorn Edition, that will pull 5k, and doesn’t clash with the Patriot Blue Pearl exterior paint.

Unit works well. BUT
The unit works well but the wiring to the manual controller doesn't work. Hopefully they will fix the issue.
