Exciting
Exciting and dark in places. Sometimes not knowing who was friend or foe. Complicated issues arise and you definitely need to pay attention or miss details!

Highly recommend this series!!
I loved the first book in this series, and the rest followed in kind. The author's take on the myth of The Morrigan is unique and so well developed. The characters expertly and vividly created - I couldn't help but love Morgan and her guys - Dylan, Clinton, Damien, Sam and Bunny. The stories kept me reading and despite this omnibus being 6 novels long, I find myself wanting more!My only comment is that with the omnibus, I got a bit lost around book 4. There is no description to start each new book and I did find I missed that. Easily fixed though - I looked up the individual book, read the description and then came back to continue reading. The epilogue at the end was a lovely wrap up and I really liked how everything was wrapped up with all the other characters as well. I see great potential for a series or at least a book on Hildi and the warriors - surely there is a story there worth writing!

Ok
I know this is weird to say, but I was really bored through the first four books. I almost didn't finish because I just couldn't get into it. I didn't ever like Morgan. I really tried to like her. For some reason I just couldn't connect with her character. The guys were ok, but there was a lot I didn't get with them either. So the biggest problem I saw with this series was that these men had been around for thousands of years. Morgan was a reincarnation and so I could understand that she didn't know certain things. But the guys seemed to know very little about what to do or try to fix things...I'm not going give details so I don't spoil the story for you. So these guys have had millennia to learn through the different reincarnations of the Morgana. I just didn't understand why they didn't have a plan or strategy. I didn't get why Bunny did what he did. The story just made my mind whirl with "why? Why? Why?" It got a little more interesting after book 4, but I never really connected with Morgan.I really can't pinpoint why I couldn't enjoy this series. There's really nothing big that stands out and screams why my dislike. I guess you'll have to see if you perceive it differently than me.

The story is much better in the later books.
The following ratings are out of 5:Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧Romance: 💙💛🖤🤍Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎Character development: 👩🏻🧔🏻🧑🏻🦰👱🏻♂️The heroine: Morgan - as she graduates college, she gets a scholarship to graduate school in New York for her writing. Morgan is writing a book about a girl whose best friends are five ravens whom she can talk to.The Hero(es): Dylan - the historian and the sentinel, he stands guard over the group.Bunny - the painter, he paints the future. He can also paint runes on Morgan’s body which protect her.Clinton - the musician, he is a huge guy and trains Morgan to fight as well.Sam - the photographer, his pictures show the world as it will be not as it is.Damien - the craftsmen, he crafts a magical sword for Morgan. The Story: Morgan moves to New York and learns that she will be living in a mansion with 5 super hot guys. She soon learns the reasons behind her strange childhood and that her book is about her and the guys. She has a dark goddess inside her called the Morrigan. The Morrigan was once betrayed by a man and vowed vengeance and became the goddess of war and destruction. Morgan and the guys are fighting the darkness that is brought by the Morrigan. I don’t want to go into the story too much but to say that I wasn’t really liking it all that much at the beginning. The story seemed to be nothing but a way to bring together this girl and her harem and to be a way to justify a reverse harem smut fest. However, the story got much better as it went along and was more about the fight between good and evil.As for the narration, it was done by Keira Stevens and Troy Duran. Kiera has a great voice for a young woman and I have enjoyed all the books with her so far. Troy Duran is perfect for the Heroes. I absolutely love his smooth deep voice. I plan to put just about every romance that he narrates on my wishlist. His voice is narration perfection! One thing was pretty cool about this book. The last book of the series was published in 2018, but the world with the plague in this book that was spread by the Morrigan was eerily similar to the real world with Covid19.
