These blackout shades are actually quite nice for the price. I mounted on September 6, 2021. They block out almost all the light pouring into my bedroom. See picture showing view from outside of bedroom looking in. Notice how the bedroom is dark compared to the bright light coming into the bathroom to the right. Then see photo showing how bright my bedroom is without blackout shades.As is the trend with all blackout shades, the lateral sides don’t go all the way to the edge of the window, resulting in a tiny bit of light peaking through. But it’s seriously minimal. Coupled with blackout curtains over these blackout shades, I would have complete darkness in my room. The curtains are not necessary at all, but it’s an option.I got a pair of the WHITE 26” inch and mounted them inside window frame. Just make sure you DO NOT mount with the supplied screws. They are really bad quality because if you plan on removing hardware to readjust shades, the screws won’t want to work with the screwdriver as it will start producing magnet shavings when turning screwdriver. In the end the screws won’t unscrew. Trust me on this one, if you can use your own good quality screws please do so or don’t tighten them too hard in case you need to remove.The material in front has a nice texture and should be easy to wipe clean if needed. The back is plain white blackout paper, I suppose. I would recommend as an affordable option :) It’s counterpart, the light filtering roller shade also by Persilux that I used in my living room, instead, are absolutely stunning. I definitely love them more than the blackout shades in the bedroom. But these blackout shades look good and do the job beautifully. I’m happy with them.4.5 stars because the screws were bad quality and because one of the shades came with a very tiny rip on the back side paper so when looking at it up front, there’s a minuscule peak of sun coming in. I will cover it with white tape and should be solved, but wish I didn’t have to do that with brand new shades, you know.

I love these blinds, great material. Smart design. Easy install. Versatile. I got quoted $9000 for similar blinds. I bought these in life sizes and saved $8000. The mechanism works great. I can't love this product enough

The quality of these blinds is amazing. They are well worth the cost. They are a beautiful modern update to my living room. I was concerned about the privacy that these blinds would provide. There is a decent amount of privacy during the daylight hours when the blinds are opened up. (I don't have a photo during daylight,sorry) However, when the blinds are closed, the privacy they provide is impressive. These photos were taken at about 8 PM, so it is quite dark this time of year. There is one photo with the blinds open and one with the blinds closed. With the blinds closed, you can barely see the outline of a figure (my husband standing directly in front of the blind on the inside). Privacy—check!! The sleek, modern headers are well constructed, about 2 1/2 inches tall. The header color matches the fabric, so it looks well coordinated. I chose the white fabric, so I can't comment about the other blind colors. So easy to install, according to my husband, who has installed so many different blinds for me that we've both lost track. If you choose the inside mount corded blind, as I did, please note 2 things--1) to accommodate the chain mechanism, the blind will be narrower on the chain side by about ½ inch. If your window frame is wide enough to accommodate, no problem. However, some folks might have a ½ inch or so of the window exposed. The seller provides excellent explanations about this feature. Please read what the seller has provided. 2) the seller provides both corded and cordless zebra blinds. The white color for the corded blinds DOES NOT match the white color for the cordless blinds. I made that mistake. I was able to order the inside mount corded blind in the color that matched other blinds in the room and return the cordless blind that did not match the corded blinds with no problem whatsoever. Great customer service. I can’t make a statement about the sturdiness of the blinds yet, but they do appear to be well made as any I have seen on the market.

Not the best pics, they really do let in and block out the light very well. These are exactly what I expected. Easy to install, we did inside mount. They are full privacy when closed, I can confidently walk naked through my room now without fear that the whole street will see me 😆. They’re pretty dark, but not blackout. With my curtains closed its very dark, perfect for migraines. The vinyl will help with heat/cold when closed. Definitely putting them in our other 2 upstairs bedroom windows now too. Probably the bathrooms too!
