I used an outdoor smart plug to controls my traditional string light, and the build in smart function works out of box without too much complicated setup, linked to the app super smooth. At beginning the light was blinking, which means it’s waiting for connection. The app found the light in a breeze. Once you connected, you can control it via app, such as brightness and on off, you can also run a schedule on it. Super nice addition to my back yard! loving it.Caveat: if you sign up via apple hide my email it might be a bit hassle to connect it to alexa, i recommend sign in with regular email.

The light is perfect at night. However, I still cannot get it to connect to my app and it takes 5 mins of flashing when I plug it in to calm and be steady light.

Hard to use one e it goes offline

I know these lights use a phone app, however sometimes I wish they just had their own clicker/remote control. Dealing with a clunky app that wasn't designed to very good standards isn't my favorite. But these are nice lights, good color and illumination, and nice atmosphere in a room or on a deck.

It is a great time to put some light outdoor during the fall, and it will make everything pretty. However, I am thinking of buying more light when it comes to Thanksgiving.

We don’t want to plug in and out the cable every time when We try to use lights , So we bought this lights. And find out it works well, now with one click on the smart phone, it can easily turn on/off. The only one issue is the initial set up need to be done inside the room which I think the signal range is not long enough.

It's not glasses bulbs! So don't worry it breaks, for the money you paid for 48fts, it's very durable!

We got these to hang inside our winter car shelter tempo. They are plenty bright enough to see by even at 50% brightness setting. We were able to easily add these LED string lights into the Smart Life App we were already using with previous smart plugs and smart devices. We were able to set up these string lights to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise and they are automated now with no issues. I like that this particular LED string light already comes with "Smart" wifi capability so we did not need to purchase an additional outdoor smart-plug separately, making this much more cost-effective. These lights are also pretty energy efficient, I think 1 watt per bulb, 15 bulbs so about 15watt during use.

I can't say enough about these patio lights! They work with Google home system and they are shatterproof but still are able to give off that warm light tone. I love it when I can ask Google to turn on my lights when I need to take the dog out in the night! Big fan!

These lights are so great to have in the backyard. Thinking about buying more.

Attached this lights to our fence by running yarn and then using the hooks on the side of the bulbs. Plugged it in and voila! A big improvement from the old, boring fence.Plenty adjustments can be done using the app. And i hooked this up with alexa. Scheduled it to turn on at sunset. I use voice command to turn ot off.This are yellow, shaterproof bulbs which i prefer over the colored ones. Gives a place a warm feel.IP65 waterprood rating still has to be tested but i bought 2 waterproof boxes for added protection.Just a heeads up: once you have a power outage, once the power comes on, it lights up automatically.

Even if you don't have smart display/assistants in your home, you can still use your phone/smart watch voice assistant to turn it on/off... probably one-less-step than using the app.It has a much warmer glow to it than what's showing up on my photo/video gallery. The glow is more orange/yellow typical of most string patio lights. Has a nice colored glow and the quality feels good overall. The wiring, base, bulbs don't feel cheap - the bulbs being plastic is a good thing since you definitely don't want these to shatter outside or get too heavy (glass is typically heavier.) Overall nice contemporary design and quality.Although these are all-season weather proof you'll still want to consider storing them somewhere for the winter (unless you plan to actually use it for the winter) since having them exposed to the elements for an extended period of time will certainly reduce the lifespan - that goes for anything. The bulbs are plastic and extreme hot/cold temperatures still have an effect, especially with water/ice. I have a different cheaper set of patio lights (not this one) and water leaks into the bulbs when it rains. Imagine the water freezing over... not to mention icicles are more likely to form. Unless you plan to actually use them in the winter, you should take them down and leave the rope, or better yet take them both down. I'm still torn between leaving these out and taking them down since nightfall comes early and it's nice to look at in the night and when/if the kids play in the back yard.
