I purchased this cover / case to protect my new Kindle Paperwhite (11th Generation).I had a similar case for my old Kindle and it worked great for years so I decided to get another one for the newly designed device.This is a low profile case but protects the screen well. I like that it doesn't add too much thickness to the Kindle device. Part of the convenience and charm is that the Kindle is thinner and easier to carry around that a book or many books. It is nice to have some protection without making it unnecessarily thicker.I chose the Avocado colored case that was available at the time. I like that it gives my Kindle a little bit of a pop with a fun color instead of the traditional black case.The texture of the case is sturdy and has a good feel in your hands. Finally, it will put the screen to sleep when you close the cover which is a convenient and easy way to quickly put away your Kindle device.

So, long story short, I placed my kindle (in this case) on the top of my car. I couldn't find it anywhere the next day. After retracing my steps, I found it in the middle of the road at a red light. I feared the worst had happened: a broken kindle.I am now here to review this case because it CLEARLY is the best you can buy as my kindle was driven over multiple times. It sat in the road overnight at below freezing temperatures.Does it still work? YES! I’m sure it is all because of this case. My kindle screen isn’t even scratched or cracked!Needless to say, I am repurchasing this case! I’m absolutely amazed.

This feels like it doubles the thickness of the kindle, it doesn't it is more like +30% to the thickness, but it gives the kindle a satisfying heft like a small hardcover book would have. I got the green one and the color is mild and desaturated, I would have preferred an obnoxiously bright green, but this is fine. With this the kindle still barely fits in my pocket and that fine. Easily fits in backpacks and laptop bags.It sleeps and awakens the kindle pretty reliable, since I rebooted it with this on. The first opening/closing flurry it locked the kindle up, but that was before updating it, and the kindles fault, not the case.It doesn't work well to prop the kindle up unless you like reading sideways (maybe while you are laying down), but it doesn't claim to do that.The texture is comfortable to hold like a soft denim. It isn't non-slip but provides some grip. So it slides into bags and pockets fine but won't slide out of the passenger seat on my car without really dramatic traffic negotiations.I bought it because I broke my last kindle's screen and I feel this is likely to mitigate the next problem with my new kindle, but I would need to wait 9 years to see if lasted the same time.

The case works well. It fits my kindle and was easy to put on. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the case has a rough exterior. The was I hold my Kindle to read, the case rubs on my finger and it is uncomfortable.

For over a year I researched the Paperwhite in all of its versions reading reviews, watching videos, trying the app on android, and comparing specs with other tablets. I took my time to avoid an emotional purchase since I read at least two hours each day, so my decision would impact something I enjoy a lot. Finally, I went for the Signature version and added the case. I am happy with my decision. All the pictures and videos I saw didn't make justice to the Paperwhite. The screen is amazing, with high quality, sharpness , auro-adjusting, and nice feel. It's so light that I can have in hand for hours and not feel numb. It has a little button at the bottom which, according to some reviews, it's an annoyance, BUT NOT TRUE. I put it on my lap without activating it. My biggest concern had been the grayscale/black-and-white screen because I truly enjoyed the colors in the Kindle app on my phone and tablet. I honestly state that this does not disappoint. If you expect to read a photograph book which indeed might use colors in its content, then the app on a phone will be of better use. Other than that, I could say most reasonable people would enjoy this device. Price is great for what you get, and you get a lot. I would buy it again. Recommended 100%
