Great Reel at this Price
I use it for Saltwater Inshore fishing in South Florida, and it is versatile. Snook, Redfish, Tarpon and more.Will buy more in the future.

Shimano quality
Great reel,well built and heavy duty.This is a manual bail reel so you have to flip the bail by hand.Smooth drag and 30 lb braided line casts well.Caught a bunch of striped bass on it with no issues.My only complaint which kept my review from 5 stars is the stem is a bit short and line roller smacked my knuckles a few times.

Great quality, smoothness
I purchased the 8K version, filled it with 330 yd. of 40 lb braid, and paired it with a 10 ft. surf rod. I spent weeks casting 2-3 oz. spoons, softbaits, crankbaits, and bait rigs in saltwater for bluefish, striped bass, snook, jacks, sea trout, and macs. The quality, smoothness, sealing, and power of this reel are exceptional. I plan to purchase the 20K version at some point for my shark fishing outfit. Shimano has really upped its already good game here.
