I like absolutely everything about this product. You’ll see and feel for yourself when you first open the box. The packaging is on-point. And when you first remove the latches from the packaging you’ll feel the weight of the all-metal super high quality construction. As for ease of installation, I’ll give it an 8.5 out of 10. The only real (but slight) difficulty is removing the old bottom latch bolts and installing the new ones that come with this kit. And the only thing that makes it slightly tricky is just getting your hand and a ratchet up inside the fender well into the relatively small space where the lower latch bolts reside. But with a little patience and perseverance it obviously can be done. If you wanted to make the ease of installation a 10 out of 10, just invest the 15 minutes to remove the front grill and access to these bolts becomes a breeze. I just didn’t have the time this morning to do that so I did it the slightly awkward way. Otherwise what can I say. These hood latches look great, are obviously well made and only took me 40 minutes to install - 20 minutes per side. One quick note: these fit the JK AND the JL. They come with four rubber pads that sit on the body where the lower latch attaches. 2 of them are for the JK and the other 2 fit the JL. They are labeled (stamped into the rubber on the back, JK or JL) but you can’t mix them up regardless. The JL pads don’t fit the JK and vice versa. So the 2 pads you don’t use will obviously be leftover.

The replacement latches are a perfect fit and look great once installed. When it comes to the "easy" part of installing them per the listing, umm yeah only if you have hands the size of a ten-year-old to deal with the fasteners inside the fenders.

These are awesome! They were fairly easy to install when we found the correct angle. The are very durable and very inexpensive. We appreciate how much of a difference we are noticing when passing a semi or large vehicle on the road. Instead of the hood shaking, we notice no movement. Well worth the purchase!

Installed on my 2013 JK. Very solid hardware. Install took a bit because there’s not much room but if you take the push pins out of the grill you will have more wiggle room. I also took the bolt out of the horn and moved it out of the way. Love the look and feel.

I like how easy it was to install. I used the factory shim plus the jk shim and it fits perfectly! Then all I had to do was adjust the tie down tension by sliding up or down the hood piece to get the tension I like! So far it's been holding up with the trails!

If this 88 yr old can install them, so can you! Quite easy installation if you remove the plastic fasteners and let the front grille down. Look good, clise with a satisfactory ‘clunk’, and seem to eliminate that scary hood flutter

Muy fuertes y de buena calidad, en mi caso particular, tuve que regresarlos porque tengo unas salpicaderas elevadas que no permiten una buena instalación, pero me gustaron mucho, si lo recomiendo.

Easy to install. Hood doesn't move at all on the highway. Beats those tired old JK hood latches.
