My Endocrinologist had advised that I should start taking specific supplements after they had ran some labs on me. It was found that some of my important vitamin and mineral levels were not terrible, but a bit low. I'm in my mid-years, and I used to be a very active person outside. But, as my life had changed over the years, I find myself spending more time inside now. As being as such, it wasn’t surprising to learn that some of my levels had begun to suffer. As directed by my doctor, I started taking a Magnesium Citrate Supplement daily — Life Extension brand capsules. After only about a month, low and behold, I was starting to feel better than I had in a really long time. I stated to have more energy, I wasn't falling asleep during the day anymore, and I was able to do my daily exercises with a bit more ease — without experiencing muscle spasms afterwards. I was told it's going to take a while to get things back to normal, but I can definitely tell its working. Magnesium Citrate tends to help your body with digestion, relaxing the muscles and the body, maintaining strength in your bones and helps with blood pressure and circulation. The Life Extension brand Magnesium Citrate Supplement seems to be offered at a similar or better price as most others on the market. This is a very good and affordable magnesium supplement that is easy to swallow by mouth (it can be a bit large for some) and is easy on your pocket financially. Always ask your doctor before deciding to start or stop a vitamin or mineral supplement regimen. Listening to my doctors about needing to take specific vitamin and mineral supplements has really turned my life around. Magnesium is a mineral supplement that you may have to experiment with. I have always had good experience with Life Extension's pharmaceutical grade supplements and this is no exception. We give this to our son, who has epilepsy and Tourette's Syndrome. For some reason, he is very emotional and at one point his teachers and psychologist suspected depression (he's only just 7). It's unclear if it's his biology or a side effect of the anti seizure meds he takes.After reading about Magnesium Citrate we gave it a try a in a powder form (Natural Calm Raspberry Lemon flavor) and we saw overnight results. Although the powder form has a pleasant taste, he grew tired of it and we switched him to a capsule form. This is one of only 2 that I'm aware of that come in a dose lower than 200 Mg and it has worked well for us. For most adults, though, 160 Mg is probably too low a dose.We also recommend Mag Citrate for cramping of any sort (works great for leg cramps!) and sleep issues. Good value for something I am supposed to have.

Life Extension Magnesium Citrate. I just received 15 minutes ago so I can't say how Citrate works yet, but the bottle was packaged very nice. The bottle was sealed in plastic. The lid has a flip top which makes it convenient. The opening of the bottle had a seal and inside was stuffed with cotton. The capsule was clear where you can see the magnesium and the capsules were filled to the top. The size of capsule is a little short of one inch. I had no problem swallowing. It is a soft not hard capsule. I would definitely try Life Extension again.
