Legit, and strong. I feel even more chinese
Ive been looking for a dirty chinese restaurant quality shovel and ladle for years. Can never seem to find any strong enough at stores (if you are still planning to buy them at your local wal mart etc...try bending them. If they bend. Wok away). These are strong. And made to last. Legitimate made for chinese restaurants. Like the others, the handles were loose. I dont get it. Its SO idiotic. Im pretty sure it wasnt TIGHT when it left the sweatshop. Get a pair of side cutters. Pry out the set screw. Turn the handle, give it a couple of nice firm taps so it sets nicely. Drill a new hole closer to the handle end so it wont loosen up. Then hammer the set screw back in. Done.

Too bad.
Very well built. Unfortunately the handles on both were detached on arrival. There is a hole for a screw to secure them but no screw joining the wood to the metal. They were just rolling around in the box. I will have to find a small stainless screw to repair them both. This company is lacking QAQC

heavy duty and large
Like others I received the wok tools with loose handles. Easy to fix by removing the small nail, turning the wood handle a few degrees, banging the handle into the steel shaft, drilling a pilot hole and re-installing the nail. No big deal...I was surprised by the length of these however, 16" spatula and 17" ladle. There were no dimensions given in the add. The usual size is 14.5". The material is much thicker and heavier than the usual as well. They are well made and for sure will not wear out in home use, if ever!Edit: When I used the spatula with my 14" wok I discovered that the front corners were were digging into the wok and scratching it. When I compared this spatula with my old one I found that the curvature of the front edge was less than on my old spatula. I am only guessing but this larger spatula is probably more suited to a larger 16" ? wok.

Great Product But
The product itself is great well build hard would handle and well crafted stainless. My problem was arrived with no rivet or screw holding the handle to the utensil. I don;t have the ability to install a rivet so drilled the handle and installed a 6x1/2 stainless screw.

Good quality items if priced correctly
There were alot of comments about how the handles on these items tended to fall off since the handles are just pushed into the sockets. People fail to mention that the items have pre drilled holes in the stainless steel that allow you to install a small screw so that the handle does not come off. Just drill a small hole in the wooden handle since it is a hardwood and put in a small machine screw. Works great. The quality seems very good solidly built but I feel it is a little smaller than I am used to using for a chuan.Overall a very good deal for two items that are solidly built.
