A great watch
I rarely write reviews on the myriad of things I buy on Amazon, but this watch is so outstanding I had to. I am very pleased with its large diameter and how easy it is to read the time (even with really old eyes and without using reading glasses). This would make a fantastic dive watch because it is very well lit up and does not have the crowded look of a pilot's watch with so much information on it that it is hard to read; plus it's water resistant to 200 ft! The composite stainless steel/resin band is outstanding and definitely worth the extra dollars over the standard rubber band. I had to get my local jeweler to remove two links (for free!), because this band is huge (and I'm 6 ft tall and weigh 230 lbs). The band has an easy slide adjustment to customize the fit after you remove the necessary links. I prefer this model's black digital LED with white data because it blends in perfectly with the watch face. If you want to utilize all this watch's capabilities, you will need to practice for awhile to memorize the buttons and various modes. The cool blue neon night light is nice and you can set it to stay on for 1 sec or 3 sec per button push. This watch was just released in July and is only for sale in Asia, so you have to go online to get the English language user manual, which I found to be very easy to understand.

Best Outdoor Watch
This is the best watch I've ever bought with the most features that wasn't a smart watch. I've been watching this watch for a while and finally set money aside for it and I'm glad that I did. The Protrek 7000 FC has it all:1. Looks/aesthetics2. Size3. FeaturesThis Protrek looks awesome in day and night conditions. One thing that drew me in was that this watch looks great. It's visually appealing to wear. With the field composite bracelet it can be worn in an office setting or on your next outing. What I like about this Protrek is it has more features than my GWG-1000 Mudmaster yet it wears smaller.Features! This Protrek has it all:Time, date, sapphire crystal, 200 meter water resistance, solar power, neo-brite illumination, altimeter, barometer, compass, thermometer, tide graph, moon phase, fish graph, sunrise and sunset, stopwatch, countdown timer, 5 daily alarms, recall memory of saved events, and of course multi-band 6.Just put this watch on and never worry about it.

A beautiful watch....but not perfect!
So this is one of the highest-end Protreks that Casio manufactures. It has a lot of features, no doubt about it. It is also very sharp looking, and the stark white hour markers have great contrast against the sleek black look of the rest of the watch. You can read the specs elsewhere, I won't run through them here. But one of my favorite features of the watch is the 'updated' Baro capability. That is, the Baro can be set to take readings every 30 minutes instead of every 2 hours. (the norm on all other Protreks) So, when set to 30 minutes, the Baro puts a new "dot" on the display every 30 minutes. Gives you a better indication of what is happening with the barometric pressure - and thus, the upcoming weather. The subdial at the 5:00 position - in theory it is cool to pack so many functions into that subdial. In reality, unless the lighting is perfect, you cannot read the scale for the tide graph or the Baro or Altitude differential. (it is just too tiny) The Protreks that use the second hand to indicate the Baro differential over a wide portion of the dial work much better for that purpose, as they can be read in poor light while this one cannot. And, if dark, the entire subdial does NOT light up, which pretty much means those functions are useless in the dark unless you have a flashlight. One little issue mine had as well - the second hand does not hit all of the minute marks as it moves around the dial. For an $800 watch, this is not acceptable. On a cheap $25 watch I could expect that, but not on this watch. One thing you should know, too: while the watch has lume on the hands and hour markers that CAN be seen in the dark, the lume was NOT applied to the entire surface of the hour markers, as one might guess. Instead, lume was applied to just a small portion of each hour marker. I don't know why Casio did this but it was not smart, IMO. They could have given this watch incredible lume. Instead, its lume is just okay, at best. (but in fairness, it does have a very cool UV backlight)One thing I absolutely LOVE about it is the combi bracelet!! It is EXTREMELY comfortable, and it also has a very cool, quick adjustment mechanism that gives about 5-6mm of play in the bracelet size - & can be done without tools!! It is fantastic! Unfortunately, the rest of the watch does not match the awesomeness of the bracelet, IMO. I still like it overall, but it could be much better, especially for the price!! If you are looking for a single, do-it-all Protrek, I would really recommend you look at other Protreks available... or even ABC g-shocks for that matter.

A Cool Design
I checked the watch for many times, finally bought it now. Its sharp white color hour marker design looks very cool, and small green color combination, making it different from most of the watch designs. It is a very beautiful and cool watch. For functions, I need to experience them in the coming days. Delivery from Japan was also very fast and efficient!I like G-shock before, now I love this PROTREK very much.

Great watch, but expensive
Great watch! I love the style and the durability. From a functionality point of view I question the value in a watch like this considering all the smart watches currently available. The accuracy of the various sensors seem so so. As an example the altimeter will Cary by quite a bit. Sometimes I’m literally at the beach and it reads ‘50m’. The temp sensor varies too depending on how active you are as your body temp changes the temp a bit.At any rate, I liked the look of the watch which is why I bought it. Looks great and the solar/rechargeable battery and atomic clock timing are awesome features.I think the Casio should be much cheaper considering you can buy an Apple Watch for $400.
