Easy to fill and ignite
PORTABLE! I can use it near an exhaust fan where I haven't an outlet. Being that there isn't a cord, I can get it into small places more easily. Well made, versatile tool, yet time will tell. A smaller tip would be nice, but once I get the hang of it, I'm sure it won't be an issue.

Surprisingly good little tool for soldering in remote areas.
It worked perfectly for 16 gauge wire.

Still a reasonable product, but not built the same as my 20 year old version
My old iron finally became unreliable so I purchase the new version. It still works well, but just isn't as high quality as the previous version. It is still likely one of the best on the market.

Good iron.
Mine works really well. It heats up really quick and once you get used to adjusting the temp. everything else is downhill. The only negative I have is i think for the money it should come with a couple more tips. The tip that came with mine is good tip but I could use one a little bit smaller.

Never going back to electric
Heats quickly. Use of this versus the cheapo electrics is a game changer.The tips do loosen over time but this is a result of the hot/cold cycles and not the design.

Light weight, easy start and adjustment
Had one from Snap-On, The Weller is much lighter, easier to use and less expensive.
