The product performed as expected.

I truly did not realize how prominent the lines are that make the actual magnification. These Lines also make this "Clear" into a very slight blue tint. The Blue Markings may contribute as well. I also tried another from a different vendor. This one's magnification is a bit more distorted, So, For my purposes, this is not as usable as I had hoped. Need for extreme Detail, quickly measuring Pearls etc.If you are using this for reading, just laying it on the page does not work. You have to hover over, creating some distortion.

I'm not entirely sure why, but this style of marker has become my absolute favorite. Probably because it allows me to underline text as needed. Or maybe it's the geek-inspired magnifying feature or rulers... I can't really say. On a practical side, the size is about right with just a little grip to keep it from sliding out of a book too easily. Reasonably durable too - useful since somehow my wife and kids all seem to "find" these & they get a heavy rotation.

As much as I like these things, I'm aware that they won't last: Use, handling and rubbing between pages will eventually dull the material and make it opaque, but they're still great while they last.

I had one of these given to me about 20 years ago. It finally broke. I use it at work, I do accounting, and it is invaluable to me when I am posting pages and pages of detail. On a whim I searched for it on Amazon and found it! I bought 3 of them. Thank you so much!!!!!
