REDINGTONGRANDE Fly Reel

Superb reel!!!
The reel itself is high quality machined aluminum. The drag is amazing and more then you will every need for most freshwater fly fishing. Backing capacity given by manufacturer is pretty accurate and you can fit a ton of backing on these reels. If you are looking for a high quality machined reel this a very competitive choice!

Nice reel
Well made and balanced a bit heavy but for sure will stand the test of time.

Good in the salt.
I use this reel in the Salt. I went though 3 behemoths, yes.. I clean them after ever trip but they can't keep up. The Grande looks incredible. It is sooo buttery and sounds sooo good when you first get it. However, after a couple of week ,if that, there's no more clicking. Its a shame too, it sounds really good. The drag is fantastic, of course. The bar stock is far better that the behemoth's cast. The knob is flat-ish , and I love it. Holds a ton of backing. It is a touch heavy . Handles the tug of big bull reds just fine and I'm sure it wont have an issue in the future and that's what you really pay for. So I saved some money getting this instead of a Nautilus or a Hatch and I'm completely happy with that. I would differently recommend this reel for Saltwater fishing.

Chose this over a Nautilus CCF-X2
WOW. Got a pretty good deal on this reel, and after watching some reviews thought the fit & finish would be comparable to a Nautilus CCF-X2. I chose this reel over the Nautilus because it's upsetting that it costs $445 retail, & they require all of their vendors to only sell exactly at retail. I've held Ross, Tibor, Abel, & Nautilus reels, and I was blown away with the fit & finish of this reel immediately upon unboxing. Biggest downside is that it isn't machined in the states. That being said, this reel is AWESOME, & a good value.

Heavier but overall an amazing reel, buy it!
Not a light weight rod. Definitely in the category of 7wt and perfect for Steelhead, smaller or bigger. The drag is insane! I think I could reel in a King Salmon without a problem. Elegant design, nice finish, beautifully painted and takes good amount of backing BUT not more than a Orvis Clearwater reel. V shaped design and it looks good but rather unnecessary and kinda feels not right when putting the backing on. But overall feels like it's going to be one of my favorite Steelhead reels of all time.
