Big hit with the three dogs
My dogs fight over these bones. They say rawhide isn’t very safe for dogs anymore so these have been our go to so that we can curb their chewing habits. Would definitely buy again!

Nice Chew Toys
my miniature dachshund is a big fan of Nylabone chew toys. However I have a hard time finding them in my local stores. So I ordered these when I came across the product on amazon. But they turned out to be for a larger dog and my dog couldn't handle the size. I would recommend them for a medium size dog. The only thing that bothers me about these bones is that my dog eventually starts to bite off chunks on the ends of the bones. Fortunately, she doesn't eat them. When this starts to happen, I take it away and give her a new bone to chew. But they do last a good while before this happens. I don't think they would be the best choice for an aggressive chewing dog. It is nice that they come in different flavors.bu

Long-lasting, cost-effective bones for your dog
We bought this 3-pack of Nylabones in late January 2015, so we have now had them for more than 6 months. And our 8-month old golden retriever is still loving them. When I compare the cost-per-use of these bones vs. rawhide bones, the cost savings is excellent. My wife used to purchase $20 bags of rawhide bones at Target. Our dog would mow down a rawhide bone in about 2 hours. So, you can go through that $20 purchase in a hurry, unless you really ration them out slowly to your dog. You could easily be spending $20-$40 per month (or more, if you're crazy) on rawhide bones for your dog.Contrast that experience with the Nylabone; these bones are so tough and hardy that your dog will be working on them for years. We keep all 3 from the pack out in the house, and our golden still takes hours each day working on the bones. We are also dog-sitting right now, and so we have two dogs enjoying the Nylabones (and thereby bringing us some peace and quiet) for lengthy stretches of time. With a $5 initial cost, we are currently sitting at less than $1 per month for all kinds of enjoyment for our dog. That's what I call value hunting. One note from our experience: the best way to help your dog enjoy the Nylabone is to not offer your pup other alternatives for chewing. For instance, when our golden knew that rawhides were an option for her, the Nylabones become comparatively less attractive to her. But, when the Nylabones are the only thing available, they inherently become more attractive to her.

Plastic pieces ingested...no good!!
These have been thrown out for good. At first I liked that these kept their teeth busy. My dogs would chew on them endlessly, but then I realized something. I REALLY didn't like that fact that they do ingest the small pieces as they are chewed off. Think of a kid chewing on a plastic toy and the tiny bits coming out into their mouth (like the size of the rubber bits that are sitting on a piece of paper after erasing something written in pencil). Even though the company claims that it's safe for them to ingest these pieces as far as choking-risks go, I disagree with the implication that these are "safe" overall. Even if they don't choke on the small bits, the plastic can not be good for them to be ingesting. We wouldn't let them eat plastic...so why let them chew a toy that allows them to ingest the toxic plastic as they chew and swallow the bits? If you are like other owners out there, myself included, we know it's not all that good for dogs to even eat or drink out of plastic bowls, causing many owners switch to stainless steel or glass (or some use ceramic). I had been using these for a few months and then my vet discovered that my dogs weren't having a reaction to their food, or anything else I eliminated, but that it was an allergic-type of reaction to PLASTIC. Once we got rid of everything plastic (a.k.a. these bones since everything else of theirs is glass) their entire issue was resolved. Another thing to note.. have you ever noticed how pets (especially cats) are attracted to toxic BPA plastics? If you put a non-BPA item in front of them, they won't pursue it at all usually. I am not at all saying that is what is in these, I actually have no clue what is or isn't in these bones aside from the fact it is plastic, but it's still something to think about, just some food for thought. If you love your furball, please give some thought to what you are putting in their mouths.Otherwise if it doesn't bother you or if you just plain don't care, they last about a month with really consistent chewers and will keep them occupied. Hard to keep clean though, the "bits" that are torn up on the ends with use seem to catch a lot of fur and such. Even with handwashing I couldn't get everything off. Wouldn't put the plastic in warm or hot water though..actually their mouths are warm too.. guess whatever might leach out in the water might leach out in their mouths too. I hope the company will tell people what these bones actually consist of. Regardless, these aren't ever coming back here!

My dogs don’t care for it but I love it
I wish my dogs liked them. They have a bacon scent to them, but my dogs have never even really played with toys.So I thought what the heck, and since I needed something to help stop smoking, and it has really helped. I do tend to have bacon breath, but I’ve been out of the dating scene for a while so I don’t mind it. With the 3 pack, I can put one in my purse, one in my room on my nightstand , and one in my pocket. It also helps reduce tarter, so that’s a plus.

Dogs love them
They last a good amount of time; our dogs are pretty aggressive chewers, so I'd say about a month or more they tend to last before getting a bit too brittle at the ends. Tiny bits of the plastic will start shedding from the ends after too long and that's usually when I toss them. My dogs seek them out and they are probably the most used toys in our house, I just wish they came in bigger packages because they are always demanding more at this point.

My large Labs love these small Nylabones
I much prefer to have these Nylabone bones for my 5 Labradors than any other make purely because of the quality of the product! Nylabone is so much sturdier than other makes. When it says it can last, it does! I have tried other brands, none have matched the quality of Nylabone for the way it stands up t being chewed & chomped on by 5 Labradors! Nylabones say that when dogs are chewing on these anything coming off the size of a grain of rice should pass through the dogs system naturally. I haven't seen anything come off these yet, but then would I notice a bit the size of a grain of rice? I don't rifle through their poo to find out either! I use a coal shovel to pick it up in the garden & haven't seen anything suspicious out there. I haven't seen my chewer, getting chunks off & she's the most likely 1 to cause any real damage!I want a bone toy that the dogs can munch on that will occupy them for an hour or so without the risk that it'll break off & get stuck in them somewhere causing a blockage. I've used Nylabones for years with no problem, as long as you're aware of what your dog can do/is capable of & check the bones after they've used them in case they've managed to split the sides. I've actually still got 1 of the 3 bone puppy pack from 7 years ago that are still being played with! That's why I bought this 3 bone small pack because although I've got 2 medium & 3 large Labradors, they really love these small bones. Especially when the small bones are used with their paddling pool in the summer. Out of all their toys, they'd all rather retrieve these small bones from the paddling pool over anything else. Normally they sit & wait for their name to be called to go & retrieve what I just threw in, but if I just threw in a small bone they all want to go get it. As I only had 3 up to now, it wasn't fair, especially when 1 ran indoors to hide his for later! Now I've a spare for when I look after my friends Lab as she loves these small bones (especially retrieving them from the paddling pool) too! Got them at a reduced price so very happy indeed. Well worth the money at full price, a fantastic bargain in a sale!

Why would you have a chocolate flavor??
Leave a helpful vote if you found this review helpful! The Good:- Very durable for heavy chewers- Set of threeThe Not So Good:- One of the flavors is chocolateI have an Ausky (Australian cattle dog husky mix) who really really likes to chew things. These are great and I have used them since she was a little pup. Keeps her very entertained and away from the furniture. I usually get combo packs because they give my pup a little bit of variety even though they are all about the same to me but hey they could be worlds different for a dog. But the one thing I don't like about this set is there is a flavor in it called chocolate. A little weird to have that being a flavor when you don't want your dog to ear chocolate as it is bad for them... Just a poor choice given all the alternatives that are available. Thanks for reading! Meus cachorros amararam e largaram de destruir coisas da casa, mais resistente que a maioria dos brinquedos, ficam o dia todo com ele.

Lasts a long time
My puppy loves this bone and it keeps her busy for a long time. It lasts and lasts - it's the first chew bone she has not completely devoured within a half hour.
