I finally found a phone that's not so expensive for my room in a motel, looks nice, mounted nicely, just hasn't rung yet, a good thing!!!

Open the package immediately and make sure it works!
I bought this "landline" phone as a backup to my portable phones should my electricity be off in an emergency. I didn't open the package until today, May 8. I had purchased it on March 8. The phone cord has the wrong size "clips" , they are too big to fit in the opening in the phone and the phone jack. The item is no longer eligible to return or replace so I am stuck with a phone that I cannot use.My advice, always open the package and make sure everything fits and works correctly BEFORE the return date expires. Also, you get what you pay for😟🥺.

Police might arrest you if you call 911 to protect yourself
Easy to break (my partner checked that), hard to communicate, not resistant to background noise. Guess what? Even if you will be able to call 911 from this one after a broken iPhone for $2K, Californian police will arrest you for an attempt to protect yourself from domestic violence.

It won't recognize the phone numbers, but is thru Spectrum.
