I really wanted a sturdy mixing dish and saw an artist online using a ceramic one . This one is perfect ! Huge center cavity for clean water or to hold a container of water and 12 cavities se at an angle to mix your watercolor pigments .I love that they are at a slight slope, makes it easier to grab more color as I am painting very easy to clean when done using, I simply rinsed with water and pat dry with a towel cloth or paper towelGreat investment and tool added to my art supplies !Its small enough to fit in a bag or briefcase but personally I do not recommend as its a bit heavy ( which I love adds to the sturdiness ) and it may fall and break so I advise to leave at home, desk, or studio where ever you are stationed to work and paint

Love this pallette. It’s as heavy as a plate. It doesn’t move around when the dog bumps the table. It has nice big sections for my paint. It’s big enough that it works nicely as a brush rest as well. It’s just perfectly designed. Exactly what I need to up my watercolor game.

After years of watercolor painting and a year of gouache painting, I decided to give ceramic palettes a try and this is the one I decided because of the amount of wells. It arrived in one piece, intact. I have used it maybe six times during the past few months and it has worked absolutely perfectly, I have not touched a plastic palette since getting this one and will probably buy a second one soon. No beading (which is what you'd expect) and no staining that I have noticed.
