A really fine tent, especially for the price. It compares with the best/expensive tents at REI.
I have been tent camping for 65 years, since I was 10 yrs. old. I have had numerous tents and still have 4 job specific tents in my storage shed. I just got into bicycle packing/camping and bought this Mountainsmith Equinox for that purpose. I live in the northern mountains of Utah and after setting up this tent (this isn't the largest tent I have) this may be the best tent I have ever had. The technology of the new breed of tents is amazing. This tent went up faster than any of my other tents and was at least as stable in high winds as my bigger and heavier tents. It hasn't been rained on yet but I can tell the fly will definitely handle any rains common in the Wasatch mountains or the Tetons where I also regularly camp. Also the color isn't gaudy to make it stand out in woods. It won't exactly blend in but it won't detract from any local environment. BUY THIS TENT. It is a perfect size for two people and their gear or for 3 or 4 people if they are really intimate.

Perfect
Good value. Easy setup. Light. I’ve used it in the Rockies at 12000’ to the badlands in the heat. It works well and keeps me dry

Great tent. You'd never fit 4 people in it though... Unless you want to be sardines!

Great tent. Easy to set up
Great tent. Easy to set up. I set this up on a cold windy night in the backyard and o check out some way biter camping gear. It was easy to set up and held up great in the wind. The two doors are great and people do have to crawl over each other getting in and out. I liked it so much I got the Morrison 2 as well for backpacking trips. Both are great tents.

GREAT QUALITY and VALUE.
Just received this and haven't used it camping but I set it up and inspected it. It is light weight for the size and well made. I did quite a bit of shopping around and thought this was great value. I am really pleased. I like the color which blends well in nature.

Stake loop ripped first use.
Bought this at Sierra trading post in Meridian Idaho.First use the stake loops on the outside base ripped.Im.still using it. They haven't completely ripped off, but they will. They are garbage. The material is the thinnest I've seen on a tent. There are cheap plastic clips holding the rain.fly on at each corner and the fly has to be on so you can stake the corners down. There are included guy lines and two entrances which I do like. The entrance flaps each have stake loops. They seem to work ok.I give it three stars bcs it was snowed on its first use and then two uses later, same trip, it was rained on really good for hours and only a.bit of water came in at the top vents bcs I hadn't put stakes in the ripped side pockets.I kind of like the tent. But will probably see if I can return it when I roll back through Idaho on the way.home bcs I paid $130 for it and I've had better. My 25 year old kelty tent is still kicking just needs new.poles.This tent is.light though. And easy to put up.That is a plus.It has no footprint. I got a tarp. Works good with that.No rains seepage in the bottom.Oh and the provided stakes suck.
