I watched a youtube video, "How to use a mouthpiece puller", and followed along very carefully at every step, even pausing the video or rewinding as needed. I had my trumpet mouthpiece removed within 5 minutes of opening the package from Amazon.What a stress reliever. After I ordered it, I was unsure whether it would work since so many said don't bother with anything other than a Bobcat puller. But, it worked for me without any caveats.I'm keeping it.

Instructions would have been nice to have, not everyone purchasing this item is a music teacher and already know how to use it.I bought it because my son keeps getting his mouth piece stuck in his trumpet. With Covid there is no band at school so we had to get it out at home. He mentioned a tool similar to this that his teacher uses at school. I still gave it a 5 star because I had already watched a video when I was researching this item.

My son's trumpet mouth piece became stuck right when Covid closed school and the music stores in our area. I was in a panic, I ordered this and we have it a shot. Got it right out with a loud pop. Both the trumpet and mouth piece came out perfect!!

I really put this product to the test. We brought the trumpet to 2 different people and they couldn't get the mouthpiece out. I decide to order this one to do it myself. I tried a couple of times with no luck. I then tried freezing the mouthpiece, then really tightening down on the screws. Tried tapping, then when to light hammering. Still didn't get it. Left it alone for 30 minutes to warm up, it popped right off. The puller was almost a "c" shape when I was done with it.
