Excellent resource
This is a well designed resource - simple but effective and with lots of scope for using in different ways. A nice break from the endless 11 + books - just a change of format was enough to encourage my son into playing with these cards very happily today when even the sight of a book entitled ‘Vocabulary’ is enough to sending him running off to hide from me! I will be purchasing other sets as we move through our 11 + preparation year. My younger children also found the cards interesting and as a result we were all talking about and enjoying words - perfect!

Excellent game to boost advanced vocabulary
I am using this with my pupils to help boost their advanced vocabulary, for use in writing assessments. The children love playing it and sometimes, I will put one of the words from a pair into a contextual sentence, or give them a definition, to help them make a matching pair. Have also purchased the 'Antonyms' set.
