Works as Promised
I have the Wacom Intuos Draw CTL490DW (so not the same tablet shown in the picture), but decided to purchase this anyways because I personally couldn't find another surface cover that I liked and at cheap price like this one. Not surprisingly (since this cover wasn't made for my model) it doesn't cover the entire surface of the tablet that visually indicates where your nib can touch the surface (A.K.A. the black part of the tablet for those who know what I'm talking about). It covers the width perfectly, but there's about 0.4 cm of the height that's not covered.HOWEVER, it easily covers the active pressure sensitive areas (so basically the aread covered by the dots A.K.A. the surface area that matters) so I'm satisfied with it. I personally like the product because my first drawing tablet was a Monoprice tablet that automatically came with a protective screen so I absolutely had no qualms about this protective screen removing that "feeling" of using actual pencil and paper. I've used my Wacom tablet before purchasing this cover for about a year and I personally didn't enjoy that "feeling" at all so, as one Amazon review stated, be aware of whether or not having that feeling is essential to you or not.TLDR: I recommend this cover if reducing the nibs you go through is your top priority. It's really easy to put on and it does what it was made for; nothing more, nothing less. If that feeling of friction between your nib and the unprotected surface is something you absolutely need, then this product may not be for you.

Seriously Reduces Nib Wear!
I love my Intuos Pen and Touch, but like many people I assume, I always have issues with my pen nibs wearing out too quickly. I bought this surface cover after reading about how it'd reduce nib wear. What I did was wait until this cover was delivered before replacing my worn out pen nib with a brand new one. I wanted to see how long it would take for my newly replaced nib to wear out with this cover installed.I found that three weeks after installing this surface cover, my pen nib hasn't really shown any signs of wear at all! Usually by the second week (without the cover), my pen nibs would start to wear out. But with this cover, friction between the nib and the surface of the tablet has been reduced significantly, so the nib lasts longer. That being said, this cover DOES change how drawing/writing feels on your tablet. The Intuos Pen and Touch alone has just enough friction to make it feel like you're drawing on paper. This cover, from my experience, WILL take that feeling away. The pen easily slides across the surface, with little to no friction whatsoever and it feels more like plastic in a way. Personally, I prefer less friction, which is why I did not knock a star off my review since it felt a lot better for me. But if you actually do like the original texture and feel of your Intuos Pen and Touch tablet, please keep this in mind.Installation was very simple and my package came with a sheet of instructions on how to do so. The cover protects the ENTIRE silver/gray area of your tablet, NOT just the drawing area. There are adhesives around the edges, making it easy to line up and install according to the instructions provided. The only minor flaw (if you can even call it that), is that the adhesives are clearly visible after installation. So if you're looking for something that will go completely unnoticed, this is not the product for you. However, despite their visibility, they do not interfere with the functionality of the product in any way. It's just a minor cosmetic thing I'd like to bring up in case people are interested in knowing.Overall, I am extremely pleased with this purchase! The cover definitely protects the tablet from scratches and significantly reduces nib wear, which were my main concerns when purchasing. To be honest, I wish I had bought this sooner!

Saving me $.
Thank goodness it finally came because I was going through nibs like they were going out of style! One a week! It was ridiculous, this really says something about the Intuos' texture. Anyhow, I love the surface cover. I like how smooth it makes drawing feel, it does totally feel different and NOT like you are drawing on "paper" like Wacom wanted you to feel with the new texture of the Intuos' surface. It is simple construction though, and possibly something anyone could make with a thin clear sheet (think over head projector sheet?) and some double sided tape.It fits perfectly on the silver part of the tablet and isn't like a phone screen protector where you're screwed if you get dust under because this is only sticky on the very edges where the "double sided" tape is. I recommend this to anyone who is going through bibs like crazy.

So disappointed.
Purchase dfr my small wacom pen and touch but the nib saver cover is not the right size. I have to trim it to fit. So disappointed.

Disappointing purchase.
There is a strip of adhesive on each side of the cover. You remove the white backing in order to reveal the adhesive and stick it to your tablet. There was a black dot of something between the adhesive and the white backing. It took a bit of work to scratch it off of the adhesive and it took some of the adhesive with it, leaving that spot scruffed up. Also, in three spots on the inside of the cover (the part that faces the tablet), there were little globs of adhesive. I initially tried rubbing it off, which just smeared it around. I finally used a piece of tape to repeatedly dab at the spots and get them off that way. And of course while dealing with those problems, the back of the inside of the cover was exposed to the air and got dust on it, which then took even more work to remove. Not a very good first impression.

If you want an honest opinion.
Yes, it's a great aid to protect your surface and reduce wear on pen nibs, and its a great surface cover. However, it gets rid of the "feel" from using the actual tablet itself. I say this because the cover makes the drawing surface a lot slippery with no control. This can affect the way you use this tablet. So keep this in mind, for those of you who likes the feel of the original tablet surface!
