This book is five stars content, three stars for the poor quality print. It is a print-on-demand book and the buyer needs to be aware the quality is like a bad mimeograph/analog photocopy. I accept this limitation because the content is very important and I’d rather this poor print than no book at all.The content is exceptional and fresh! for practical/pragmatic steps one can engage to heal today’s complex global “divides”, a cycle of power that goes well beyond engaging in a blissed-out spiritual bypass widely on offer for $$$ through western, capitalist driven meditation practices, and our well worn edified institutions now showing many cracks. I have more hope in the latter than the former.The content is also incredibly meaningful for anyone on the path to heal from abuse and violence in childhood: to identify relational and developmental tasks and opportunities that were missed, thwarted, or negotiated, at extreme cost to the true self, and to become more alive, in the here and now, no matter one’s age today. It is how to honestly end oppression and codependence, and stop being an unwitting pawn or re-creator of the damaging messages of low worth and value one received.Even if one had an okay childhood, this book offers the wisdom of the cycle-return-truth of vitality and human growth that mirrors the actual cycle of Life all around us, and puts to rest the notion that life and learning is a linear process of progress with some kind of destiny (ie. Making money, owning a big house, consuming nature through global travel…striving, striving, striving), or either-or, all-or-nothing, start point-end point, destructive “Linear living”. Such “mind condition” is a misunderstanding, and an impoverished inheritance. All this mess of today is a reflection of imbalance with masculine energy which is counter to, or long missing, Nature’s feminine energy.It is well beyond binary identity.Thank you to Pam Levin for an amazing invitation to anyone who is seriously curious adult to discern the wisdom in the paradox “a spiritual being having a physical/material experience”. While in this material world, why not manifest the change you wish to see in the world?This book will help all adults of all ages and “identities”truly help themselves and others, including infants, children and young people, and older people, grow and heal. It is so NOT too late!
