How you dose will decide how much will you pay in the long run
I am not a believer of buying the most expensive products to solve problems. But this one is hands down all time fav of mine .First of all it’s a toxic chemical, use with caution. Keep away from kids and adults who don’t know what it is .Secondly, never dose the recommended dose , that way you’ll be throwing all your money , quarterly or half yearly buying the same bottle again and again .Rule of thumb with this product is to , spot dose where algae growth is quite substantial and voila instant results . You can search on YouTube how to do that. But you do it after manually removing most of the algae .Secondly , the main thing is this , I usually spot dose , terminate the algae then I dose half of what is recommended. Since I run a active co2 system , I don’t buy the main niche of this product that is a liquid form of useable carbon source that plants utilise during photo synthesis. I use it for algae control .The purist might not even recommended using it , since it is nothing but poison . That’s why I dose very less , frequently, so that it just serves it purpose .People who wish , grow plants by low tech method should never buy this product, for 100 litres, you’ll be buying a bottle every 6 months with okayish results , that is 4000 , for a year . Plus the fact that your light is also low tech and your ferts dosing is not optimised, you will literally waste what you will be dosing as this polymer chemical , decomposes after a day or two (Seachem’s claim) usually , the half life is around 6-7 hrs only . Seachem says they have produced a more versatile polymer with extended half-life .Over all,1. Algae control and elimination 10/102. Liquid carbon theory (can’t even say it is true or now , refer to forums for more insight ) - no score .Hope it helps
