Great Looking Jacket plus very warm
Excellent jacket. Great quality and very warm. For those who are looking for a warm jacket that can be used for warmer weather with the liner removed this is a great choice. I wore it in 32F in Michigan with cold winds, and I just had a t-shirt underneath, didn't feel cold at all compared to my other jacket. Regarding the sizing, I went for Medium and it fits snugly with the liner in, without the liner it's a bit loose(but not too much) which means if I went with large it would probably fit in a very weird way without the liner(it would probably seem like I borrowed it from someone bigger than me). So, if you want two jackets in one keep in mind that without the liner it suddenly becomes a bit bigger jacket, but if you don't mind that change or you don't plan on using it for the warmer weather then choose the size accordingly. Some notes:-the zipper seems to be of great quality, it does zip on the left instead of the right, but I've been through jackets from all over the world so it's not that difficult to get used to the zipper on different side.-the hood is good :) for rain and it's pretty big(I managed to cover my head with the baseball cap on) which means it should be good for snow and rain, time will tell-it comes tightly packaged so it may seem too small and once you put it on you'll need to "stretch" it-the style combined with the olive colour does make it seem like a real military jacket which is what I was going for and clearly Brandit did as well-the patches, the patches, what can I say about them? I don't really care about them, and they don't seem to care about me :) so, I guess they can be removed, but you'll need some cutting tools-there's no inner pocket, which I figure everyone who did a basic check on this type of jackets knows already, but just in case-the available pockets are roomy enough to put hands in when it gets colder-the seemingly many strings aren't that many and they are usefulI was looking for this type of jacket since 2012 or there about, and the ones that I considered buying for $60-$70 turned out to be Made in China, which I wouldn't mind but some reviews said that zipper broke and some other damages happened to those jackets very easily. The ones that are over $100 are the ones that are made in various places across Europe(and there are a few true US military jackets, but they are true camo style which is a bit much for me). I thought about going for the Polish version, but the shortness of it redirected my views to here and this one is of perfect length for me(basically it covers the groin area). All in all, great jacket.

Good jacket. Order your normal size
Based on the comments that the jacket is larger than normal, I ordered the jacket 1 size smaller (M) instead of my usual size (L). It turns out that the size M is too tight for me. I'm returning the jacket and will order a L one. Other than that, the jacket is very well constructed, the zippers are hefty, the color is nice, and the liner is thick and seems to be very warm (haven't really tried it out yet) and it looks like the jacket will last for a long time.Update: I ordered the L size and it fits me perfectly. The jacket has a thick liner and is good for most winter conditions. I plan to remove the 2 tags on the jacket. If you want a military-style and quality jacket, but don't have time for bootcamp, this is it!

Good coat, may be larger than expected.
I am 6' 150lbs. Fairly slim, athletic build. The sizing seems to be based off of the internal removable coat. This internal coat fits perfectly in a Med, however the external layer without the lining fits a bit loose, and the sleeves are a bit long as well. I don't have short arms so keep that in mind. With the lining in, the sleeves are still a bit long and the whole jacket seems juuuust a tad large. It will be fine for cold weather wear however so this isn't too big an issue. If you just want this for the outer coat and you are about my size, go for the small. If you do want this for colder weather, Med will do just fine.Other than that, quality seems good enough and the color is a nice olive drab, not nearly as yellow as it appears in the images Amazon has.

Amazing winter jacket.
I never write reviews but this jacket is amazing. You will not be disappointed with the winter performance of this jacket. With the lining and a base-layer I use this jacket to camp and hike in 25F weather with wiping winds and it holds up. If you like the style of the jacket there is no reason not to get it.5 year update!: I in this span of time I've become a farmer, fulltime vanlifer, tradesmen and am generally pretty tough on my clothes. This jacket has held up crazy awesome over the years, still as warm as the day I got it, zippers all still work well, all the buttons have held up, only 2 small hole at the bottom the are 100% my fault and aren't getting bigger. Only thing is I'm pretty sure is was $100 cheaper when I got it, but if it is still the same quality I'd still buy it. It's lasted ~5 years in my abusive care and it'll probably last another 10 if I'm smart... so probably just 5.TLDR; 6 STAR JACKET!!!!!**if the quality is the same

Just what I wanted and expected :)
Very nice, comfortable and warm. Estimated time for delivery was 4 to 5 weeks. Mine arrived in a little less then a week. Looks just like in the picture, wrinkled and used looking, like you want it to. Sleeves are plenty long. If I was to nit pic, the internal cinch cord right above the lower pockets cannot be adjusted with the liner in place. Zipper is on the wrong side (only the Brits? They drive on the wrong side of the road too.).All in all, a fine jacket for out and about, working or exploring in the wilderness,

... come from but this is definitely not as I like my clothes tailored
Not sure where all the positive reviews come from but this is definitely not as I like my clothes tailored.I ordered a Large and a Medium with the thought I would send one back. For reference, I am 6ft, 36 waist and about 210lbs. The medium is what fits but the jacket itself is so puffy it makes me look like I'm at least 240lbs. Without the liner, I am swimming in the medium. I like a slightly tailored fit but this jacket is just baggy. If that's your thing, you will like this. Its warm, well made and the price is good but for my purpose and from a style point of view, it gets a 1 star. I'ts the year 2016 and I dont want something that hangs off me with zero thought to tailoring.
